The two weeks I spent with Kevin were amazing! He is such a nice, fun and accomoditating host. It was too early to collect the coffee beans so we did some gardening (which is so soothing) and we separated the bean from the shells from the coffee harvest of the previous year. We cooked together and made some hikes in the beautiful nature around. It's such a relaxing experience and Kevin really cares about making his volunteers feel at home. 100% recommend spending some time with him.

The work is very simple, it can be anything from helping at Kevin's home to garden work when there's no work at the coffee farm. The working hours varies, but can be discussed. The town itself is very small but charming, the bus ride to Antigua is around 20 min. The house is very primitive, but with great people around, Kevin and his family are one of the most generous people I've ever met! <3

I loved my stay with Kevin & his family! I felt so welcomed and comfortable (especially as a solo female traveller & being the only volunteer there at the time!😊) The work was enjoyable and easy, I stayed here outside of coffee season so my days involved plant watering, cleaning the floors & I also helped out a little at his sisters plant store! On my day off we went on a sunrise and waterfall hike which was amazing!! Would recommend to anyone who wants to experience Guatemalan culture & practice their Spanglish ;) ☺️☺️

Nuestra experiencia con Kevin fue memorable, nuestro mejor viaje de por vida. La familia es muy comprensiva y escucha nuestras necesidades. Fuimos muy bien recibidos y nos quedaríamos en su día a día durante mucho tiempo. ¡Lo recomiendo a todos!

Kevin and the whole family are super friendly and I felt at home instantly. Kevin made breakfast and we had a slow morning before starting the tasks of the day. Lunch was alsways at his sisters house which is also a plant store. The food was very good and I enjoyed spending some time with the family and the small kids. All in all it was a fun but calm week filled with a lot of nature, good talks, paternas, macadamia tree planting and a beautiful sunrise hike.

Depending on whether it is coffee season or not, you help on the coffee finca or with their plant business, but kevin always made sure I was comfortable with what I was doing & super flexible when it came to working hours! In addition to getting to know the cute pueblo in the mountains, you're also a part of their family:) Kevin is very understanding, open minded, patient & always happy to recommend activities or places nearby & depending on his own workload to even come along! not my first, but definitely my best worldpackers project so far😌

Pasé una semana con Kevin y su familia llena de buenos momentos. Trabajé por la mañana y pude descansar por la tarde después de una buena comida con toda la familia. Todos fueron muy amables y compartieron su vida cotidiana conmigo con buen humor y siempre una sonrisa. ¡Muchas gracias por esta gran semana!

La granja fue mi primer voluntariado en la app y no pude haber escogido uno mejor. El proyecto se ubica en un pueblito precioso cerca de Antigua, muy seguro, cultural y acogedor. Tienen varios mini proyectos en los que puedes participar como un vivero, una tienda de plantas exóticas, un cafetal y cultivo de rábanos y otras frutas. Kevin y su familia siempre estuvieron pendientes de nosotros. Nos encantaban los desayunos y comidas que nos preparaba él y su familia. Gracias por abrirnos su hogar y compartir con nosotros, sin duda regresaremos pronto!!

Mi experiencia fue muy enriquecedora, hicimos diferentes actividades que me permitieron hacer consciencia social y ambiental 💚 Aprendimos todo el proceso del café y conectamos con la cultura del lugar. Kevin y su familia son un amor, te reciben con muchísimo cariño y están dispuestos a hacerte sentir como en casa. Las actividades las elaboramos en distintas horas del día pero a nuestro ritmo. 💯 A pesar del poco tiempo estando juntos los recordaré con mucho cariño. ¡Muchas gracias! 🙏🏻

Fueron días muy lindos, aprendí cosas a diario y tuve la oportunidad de compartir con una familia hermosa que me hizo sentir como en casa en todo momento, pude conocer su cultura y compartir la mía. Las gatitas y perritos son muy amigables y tienen mucho amor para entregar también ☺️ Yikikot ri wanima 😊🫶
