My stay at banbondoi was so good, you live in nature, you eat clean food and you enjoy nature . The work is not hard I taught online English classes to Thai students from all ages and you can enjoy the rest of your day, also there is a cute bar in the place you can enjoy hanging out at, they also have cooking classes for volunteers which was so fun and lovely

Muy volunteering in the school was short and full of mixed feelings... The amount of lessons is okay and you have full freedom in and out of the classes. Food is good and they offer vegan, but no hot water in the shower. Then 4000Baht dissapeared from my wallet, and i got to know that two other volunteers had the same issue 2 weeks and 1 month before me, when the whole volunteering team was different. I dont have any proof of who stole the money, but when i told the staff, they couldnt care any less. Their involvement with volunteers is close to 0, it felt so impersonal and distant.

Thank you for your feedback. We are truly sorry for the unpleasant experience you had during your stay. Since our accommodation is shared, we always remind all volunteers to take care of their personal belongings and keep valuables secure. Unfortunately, in cases where money is lost, we are unable to return the amount or search through the belongings of other volunteers, as we must respect everyone’s privacy.

This was such a wholesome experience. Located in a quiet beautiful local village. The English teaching was a fun experience, met some interesting people in classes and was good to chat and get to know people, while helping them with English. Would definitely come back again!

If you want to rest and also have the chance to explore around while learning from travellers and from local people interested in English learning, this is an excellent opportunity. I am going to miss the students and the respectful people that make this project possible. I would like to comeback at some point if I am in Thailand again. They adapted to my diet request and also provided clear and simple information to participate in their project. Maybe at some point what you need for toilet could be included but apart from that I would say stay for at least 2 weeks and then decide.

I had a very good time at the school, here u will meet a lot of nice people, both other volunteers and the people that work here. The place is very cozy and great to chill, the room is small but you will mainly pass your time outside, there are plently of good places to lay. The classes can start at 15.10/17.10 and they can go until 20.40/21.30, depends on your schedule. Anyway you will have only 4/6 classes per day, with sometimes breaks of 40 minutes between them. Close by there is not a lot to do, and going to the city requires a lot of time by yellow car, still I loved running around here

Had a great time volunteering here. It's a bit out in the rural areas, so it takes a little getting used to, but the people really make it worth it. The hosts were welcoming, and the other volunteers made things fun and chill. Whether we were helping out, exploring nearby, or just hanging out, it was always a good time. If you're up for something a bit slower-paced and meaningful, this place is worth checking out.

I had a great experience meeting other fellow travelers at the homestay. I taught a maximum of 5 classes on average with some breaks in between. Its a laid back environment and the hosts are very kind and welcoming. I do wish the bathroom facilities were a lot cleaner. Overall a good experience as it was my first time

I came to volunteer with an open heart, but the experience felt more like free labor. We worked 5 days a week, 5 hours a day, with little time to explore or rest. Accommodations were below standard—no air conditioning in private rooms made it uncomfortable. Volunteering should be a fair exchange, not unpaid work with minimal support. This felt like the host was taking advantage of volunteers rather than offering a meaningful cultural experience.

We’re sorry the experience didn’t meet your expectations. Our agreed schedule was 5 hrs/day, 5 days/week, but actual teaching is 4–6 sessions/day, 40 mins each—less than 5 hrs. We offered A/C rooms, but you chose a private fan room with your partner, fully informed. Due to power limits, we can’t install A/C everywhere. We do our best within our means and appreciate your time with us.

Very nice place and people, lot of volunteers so the organization to accomodate them is not lacking. I missed the detail before coming that all classes are one on one through Skype and can be split all afternoon and early evening rather than being classes of kids in a real school. Wasn't thus exactly what I had in mind (no immersion in school life), but great place nonetheless. Also I missed the bamboo rafting that wasn't organized the week I stayed, but it looked really fun. Thanks for the experience and good vibes!
