I had a truly amazing time with Christine. She is an incredibly welcoming and generous host, often taking us on trips to meet friends or visit places in between work. She was also very patient with my French, which is not the best! The house and surrounding area is gorgeous and very peaceful, and there is lots to do with walking routes, bikes available and a local bus from the village. The work was mostly physical, carrying soil and rocks for the garden, planting, and lifting weeds, with a small amount of cooking and cleaning as well, and there was lots of free time. Thank you so much!

My time at the home has truly been wonderful. The property itself is very beautiful and surrounded by nature. It has a calm and peaceful atmosphere which allowed me to go into the connection with nature and with myself. Christine has a warm heart and caring soul and it has been a true pleasure to get to know her life and to live at her home. At all times I have felt safe and cared for, which I really appreciated. The work was mostly outside and we went on a lot of hikes which I really enjoyed. I also got to meet a lot of her lovely friends which was really nice. Merci pour tout!

This experience was truly amazing! Christine is a very welcoming and social character which made it easy to feel welcomed and at home. Most of the work we did was done outside and included planting plants, picking wild asparagus, sanding down chairs, helping to carry stuff around etc. If one would need a break for example, it was no problem at all. In addition we would go on hikes together, visit the local markets in the area and visit friends of Christine. We ate lots of amazing homemade food and Christine completely respected my diet of being vegan without any problems.

Christine's generosity deserves a mention. She took us on amazing experiences on our time off: a pretty sunset picnic with her friend, before an outdoor jazz night, a Brazilian festival in a castle (the best night!), cute markets, and to the station for a day out in Toulouse. However, though it says 'shared dorm', this room is rented out on AirBnB so if it's booked, you have to sleep in a tent, not a bedroom. It also at times feels like you're working more than agreed as there's no split between work and household tasks so sometimes you work all day. Overall, I enjoyed my time & learnt a lot.

Had a good time with Christine, eating very healthy food and learning lots about a sustainable lifestyle. She does rent out the room on Airbnb so I spent a significant amount of my stay sleeping in a tent. With this was communicated beforehand but otherwise a great place to experience the calm of the countryside.

I did fun cultural things with Christine and got to practise French. However, some things to note: - the shared dorm in the house that is advertised is NOT guaranteed, Christine rents out that room as an air bnb and so if someone books it , you have to sleep in a tent in her garden - Household chores (food prep, cleaning) that are advertised as part of the 4h work per day are NOT included, this is extra work you have to do every day (can be over an hour extra) and it's all on Christine's terms. Wouldn't recommend this experience if you like knowing what's happening on a day to day basis.

The home is a beautiful property with plenty to do. This was my first experience as a worldpacker so I was a little nervous, but Christine was very welcoming and opened her home to me. The work was not incredibly laborious, and there was not much we could complete outside some days due to the rainy weather. Christine has the most kind and caring soul, and she truly showed me what it means to live sustainably. She is an amazing host! The only issue we had was our language barrier. So if you come here it would be helpful if you knew basic french or english!
