My stay in La Touanne, in this magical place, was instructive and unforgettably beautiful. Christine and Nicolas are very warm, interested and inspiring people. We always had a good chat over delicious food. I really enjoyed working every day in such a historic place with varied tasks. If you want to learn about the French language and culture, be in nature and face the challenges of being a chambermaid, this is the place for you. I am very grateful to have spent 3 wonderful weeks there. Merci.

Christine and Nicholas are wonderful hosts who've put a lot of effort into running the château and have welcomed many volunteers. Morning work involved cleaning guest rooms and bathrooms, while evening tasks included things like gardening, house projects, and cooking. We shared meals and were expected to set the table and clean up afterwards. Christine does the cooking and I loved learning from her! My room was spacious and beautiful. On days off, Nicholas kindly drove me to the train station and shared great recommendations. We all shared stories and laughs—I enjoyed my time! Merci!

My experience at Chateau La Touanne was amazing. The place is beautiful, has a private forest, a large garden and a pool we could use before check-ins everyday. I had such a nice and comfortable room with its own bathroom and great view. The work was also quite manageable, plus Christine and Nicola are always available around when you need to ask something.Together that we had lunch and dinner everyday, the food, the wine and cheese was incredible. During my stay I met 2 other great volunteers, also their son and daughter who came visiting. It was such a blessing overall, highly recommended!

I really recommend this place. Nicola and Christine were very welcoming since the beginning, we all shared meals and lovely conversations. The work it's easy and they're helping you with everything. For me the best thing was the location. The only sounds you can hear is from the wind and birds, very interesting way to live :)

J'ai beaucoup apprécié mon expérience au Château de la Touanne. Si vous souhaitez découvrir la culture française et entrer en contact avec la nature, cet endroit est parfait. Christine et Nicolas sont des personnes merveilleuses, gentilles et accueillantes. Le travail n'est pas difficile ; ils expliquent clairement ce qu'il faut faire, et en moins d'une semaine, on comprend déjà tout. Je remercie énormément Nicolas et Christine. J'emporterai de nombreux bons souvenirs des moments vécus au Château de la Touanne. Je vous recommande vivement cet endroit !

The time I spent at the Château was amazing! Everything went as agreed, in a very respectful environment. Nicolas and Christine are wonderful people who are very welcoming and communicative. I loved the experience and I highly recommend it, especially for those looking for a peaceful trip connected with nature.

Absolutely wonderful! Christine and Nicholas are such enjoyable, interesting, and funny people to get to know. By the end of my two weeks I truly felt like part of the family. In terms of work, hours were always respected and they were great at giving detailed instructions so I knew how to complete each task. If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet atmosphere with good company, I would highly recommend staying here. And I'd recommend you stay as long as you can, because you might never want to leave.
