Mi experiencia en el castillo fue algo que nunca olvidaré, el lugar es hermoso, todo lleno de naturaleza, muy cerca de la estación que conecta a varios pueblitos muy lindos de Francia, las tareas son fáciles y rutinarias, se trabajan de 4-5 horas al día, básicamente las tareas son limpiar las habitaciones y de jardinería, el lugar para los voluntarios está en proceso de renovación y no hay conexión de internet en esa zona sin embargo del otro lado del castillo contactamos con una sala con wifi. Lo pasé increíble. Christine y Nicolas me hicieron sentir como en mi propia casa. Conecté más que nunca con la naturaleza (el jardin/bosque es de una grandeza y belleza impresionante). Como anfitriones, son exigentes y siempre buscan la excelencia en lo que hacen, así que fue una buena oportunidad para estar activa y aprender nuevas habilidades. Me llevo un grato recuerdo de esta experiencia. Lo recomiendo ampliamente!

Fue super buena experiencia, tenia mis aprensiones porque no tenían muchas reseñas este voluntariado, pero resultó que tenían años de experiencia! Solo que son nuevos en esta plataforma, así que recomiendo mucho que se queden aquí. Christine y Nicolás son un matrimonio super atento, dedican tiempo a los voluntarios, probamos comida típica, cocina super bien Christine. Los días libres como es un poco apartado nos iba a dejar y a buscar a la estación cada vez que queríamos salir, lo que agradezco muchísimo, además nos aconsejaban los lugares turísticos a visitar. Es vuestro lugar si queréis conectar con la naturaleza y dejas atrás el ruido de la ciudad. Es otro ritmo. Nicolas y Christine van a estar pendientes de que no os falte nada y os ayudarán en todo lo posible. En cuanto al trabajo, no es difícil ni pesado. Además depende del día, tendrás un poco más o menos. Pero con su ayuda, es muy fácil. Me sentí en casa, aún estando en otro país y en otra casa con otra forma de vida. El tiempo en el jardín, los paseos ,las charlas con ellos, incluida Cami,y el rato de cocinar, han sido los mejores momentos para mí. Me los llevo para siempre en mi corazón .

Merci beaucoup to Christine and Nicolas! It feels like I've found a family away from home! They were so supportive and continuously made sure me and the other volunteers were taken care of and comfortable. They were kind in their explanations and helped me learn French and how to work in the countryside. I'm forever grateful that they made my first Worldpackers experience so wonderful and I thank them for all of their kindness and wonderful lunches. I hope to stay in touch!

This was my second volunteer experience and it was wonderful! Christine and Nikolas are amazing hosts — kind, caring, and always striving for perfection in everything they do. The château is beautiful, peaceful, and full of charm. The work was fair, the food delicious, and i had a lovely roommate, which made the experience better, they made sure we felt comfortable. I truly admire their dedication and how much they care for their guests. I'm very grateful for this experience.

I had a wonderful month at La Touanne, practising French and being immersed in nature. Nicolas and Christine were warm, well-organised and communicative hosts. Their home is so beautiful and peaceful. They were so encouraging of me speaking French, which was great for my confidence. All of the tasks were clearly communicated and they always respected the work hours. I enjoyed the company of both my roommates and we enjoyed having a whole section of the chateau to ourselves - bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living and dining room. Thank you for a memorable month!

Christine and Nicolas were really kind with me, they picked me up from the train station and made me feel as part of the family since the beginning, the castle is extremely beautiful, so much peace and comfort, christine food is delicious and Nicolas is so funny, i'd recommend this experience to everyone who loves nature and wants to experiment the french culture and of course the quiet of the chateau. My stay at Chateau La Touanne was absolutely incredible. The property is beautiful and if you're looking to immerse yourself in nature this is the place for you! Christine and Nicholas were great hosts, they were clear about the tasks and great at explaining how to properly do the job. The work hours were always respected. There is the possibility on your free day to explore the surrounding towns to learn even more about France and its culture. The chateau is very pretty and you will stay on the volunteers side of the castle where you will have everything you need to live comfortably.

The place is beautiful, full of charm and surrounded by nature, with a peaceful and inspiring atmosphere. The tasks were fair and well-organized. The food was delicious, made with care and always shared at the table, turning each meal into a warm and great moment. But what made this experience truly unforgettable were the hosts, Christine and Nicolas. They are incredibly kind, welcoming, and generous people. This was so much more than a work exchange, it was a meaningful and memorable experience! I highly recommend it!
