I really enjoyed my time in this the shelter! It was so fun spending time with the dogs while walking them, brushing them, going around the shelter and refilling water or taking care of the puppies. Tasks were easy and understandable. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The dogs are very cute and sweet, they all need so much love and attention so I recommend this experience for everyone who loves and adores dogs, if your thinking about it you should definitely do it! The volunteer accomodation is also very nice!

My experience at the the shelter was great and inspiring. It is a small group of people (19) taking care of over 500 dogs, so everyone is always busy and there is always work to do, including cleaning their cages, taking are of puppies, making sure they all had their waters refilled, brushing them, and mostly walking the dogs assigned to me. I got the chance to meeting wonderful dogs who just needed love and attention. Everyone working and volunteering at the the shelter was amicable and polite. I recommend this experience if you love dogs and would like to make an impact in their lives :-)

I absolutely loved my time with this dog the shelter. they take such good care of all 500(!!!) dogs and volunteers too. the place that the volunteers stay in is equipped with everything you could need. both Bruno and Alexandra are so lovely and accommodating, i always felt like if i had a problem i would be helped quickly and respectfully. The tasks like walking the dogs made the early start so rewarding and enjoyable. All the dogs will be so appreciative of the help of volunteering so definitely go if your thinking about it. If you go please give love to Bella the german shepard especially ☺️

I had a beautiful experience in the the shelter <3 Our tasks were giving water to the dogs, which could take one and a half hours up to two and a half hours, depending on the number of volunteers working. It was fun because you could cuddle all the dogs you wanted during the job. After that, we would walk and brush some dogs until 12. So the main objective of the volunteers was to give love and attention to the doggies, which was wonderful. The managers were very welcoming, the volunteer house was perfect, and we had all the food we needed. Thank you for everything Prijatelji the shelter <3

This place is something special and what makes it that way is the connections you can make with the dogs. Do know that since Cakovec isn't really interesting the focus is primarily on volunteering. Which is probably a good thing with over 500 dogs. The staff are super friendly, the amenities are fine and whenever a problem occurred they went out of their way to solve it as quickly as possible. I'd recommend this place to anyone who is willing to learn more about dogs and wants to contribute. The dogs deserve it.

My experience was very good, I recommend this volunteering! The work could be a bit tiring, but the schedules were fully respected and the environment was good, the the shelter workers were always friendly. The place where we lived was very comfortable and they gave us everything we needed to spend our days there. The city was a 20-30 min walk away and it was very pretty. Finally, all the work that the the shelter does is incredible, the concern for their puppies is amazing, so I recommend it! hands will always be needed to contribute in this place. P.S: every day you can give love to puppies! :)

Our month at the refuge was fantastic. The staff invest a lot of effort and care in the dogs. Despite the workload, they stick to the schedule and welcome discussions about changes. They provided tools, ensured safety, and guided us on a daily basis. The volunteer accommodation is great and the meals for the volunteers are not lacking. The dogs, though initially intimidating with barking, are looking for love. Petting them and seeing their loving eyes is special. Congratulations to the the shelter team for their remarkable work. Chile needs more places like this! PS: Earplugs recommended.
