I had a great time at the Hostel! The team is great, there are many volunteers and the managers are always welcome to answer questions and find solutions to problems. The tasks are easy to fulfill and there is plenty of free time to explore the island. The contact to the guests is amazing as well, especially because of activities organized every day by the hostel

The hostel was my first volunteering experience and I couldn't recommend it enough! From the day I arrived the other volunteers/staff were super friendly and made me feel at home. The hostel has an amazing social vibe and the guests were super fun to be around. The work itself was very straightforward, cleaning/making beds and manning reception when the manager wasn't there. Everything was explained fully and if I had any questions at all the staff were always on hand to help. I had plenty of time to explore the island before/after my shifts and on my days off. Thank you for everything!

The hostel had bed bugs and was mainly full of older men the entire time, which as a girl made me feel uncomfortable. On worldpackers it also stated there would be 6 other volunteers however there was only maximum 3 of us. the hostel feels left behind compared to its sister hostels (jungle and colombus) which have a different vibe and are more fun with a lot more volunteers. Overall it is the people you meet that truly make the experience however if i could do it again i would stay in jungle or columbus.

Volunteering at the hostel was a life-changing experience that I'll always treasure. I met wonderful people and felt like part of a small family. Organizing activities to make the guests' stay more enjoyable helped me grow both personally. To be honest, during the last week and a half, things changed with the arrival of the new manager. There was a lot of confusion in the hostel, and we often didn't know what to do or how to act. Some situations were not handled well, and her attitude toward volunteers wasn't always the kindest. Btw, I would definitely recommend this experience

When I arrived, it felt like no one even knew I was coming. The manager wasn't at the desk, and things felt pretty cold from the start. I was hoping for a warm, welcoming vibe, but that didn't happen. I was put into a shared room with guests, and on the second night, I saw a huge bedbug crawling on my bed. I had bites all over me, like everywhere. I couldn't bring myself to sleep in that room again, so I ended up sleeping on the rooftop just to avoid it. Maybe I was unlucky, but I think future volunteers deserve a heads-up about this. I stayed there for 3 days and left.

I had a great time at the hostel. From my first day I felt immediately welcomed by the other volunteers. The tasks are cleaning and being at reception, pretty easy and manageable. I met great people, made friends, and explored the island which is beautiful. What I didn't really like was that sometimes we had evening shift and then the next day morning shift which is pretty tiring. Also, there are no workers there other than the manager, something that seems weird to me. Overall, it was an incredible and very interesting experience!

I had the best time during my stay at the hostel! The place is very beautiful and the people it attracts whether as volunteers or guests turn it into an extremely homey and family like atmosphere. I felt as if I truly belonged there, the minute I entered the hostel. Elisa, the manager, is amazing, very caring and fun to be around while still keeping everything organised. The work is well manageable and from the location it is easy to go and explore the island. It was my first time volunteering like this and i loved every second of it! 🫶🏼🫶🏼

I had an incredible experience at the hostel! From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed by both the volunteers and the guests. The atmosphere was great and it truly felt like home. My experience at the hostel was incredible. The hostel attracts interesting guests (sailors, artists..) but this could vary depending on the time of year. I worked with 4-7 other volunteers who I got along with very well and the hostel has a cozy family-feel. The work wasn't very demanding at all and the manager Elisa was good at communicating and always listened to our preferences. I would definitely go back here!

Mara was an absolute delight to have at our hostel! She brought such a fun and easygoing energy that made her a joy to be around. Her laid-back approach to life is truly admirable and brought a refreshing vibe to our team.

She is incredibly kind and has a natural ability to connect with others. It was easy for her to get along with the other volunteers, creating a harmonious and enjoyable atmosphere.

This was my first world packers experience and I couldnt be more grateful for such a wonderful opportunity! The work was extremely reasonable and doable, and fun because you get to be with the other volunteers! The hostel was clean, and very homey which is nice to have when you are there for an extended period of time. The island itself is perfect to explore and there are tons of things to do from hikes, to beach or museums! Definitely recommend, especially those looking for a first time experience!
