I had a great experience at the guest house and really enjoyed my time there. Everyone is super nice, work hours were always respected, and the area and beach near by are beautiful. I'd definitely recommend for anyone to go.

What an amazing team🌞 I have been here for a month now and it doesn't feel time for me to leave. If you like being in a small town, where you run into the same faces at the beach, at the local restaurant/bar, skateboarding, and grocery store, then this experience is for you. The other volunteers and my roommates that I was living with were like family to me and I felt very safe and comfortable. This was my first Worldpackers experience and it brings me so much excitement on what my future ones have in store for me(:

Working at the guest house was my first Worldpackers experience and the best one to start with, in my opinion! Truly this experience was made all the more memorable with the group that I was there with. I made memories that I will cherish forever. As far as the location, the the guest house is not in the city of Aljezur, but closer to the coast. The host does allow volunteers to use very old car, but you must know how to drive a manual. While I was there all the bikes were broken or falling apart. Unfortunately, this was the case for the wetsuits as well. Staying at the guest house is what you make it! Ill miss it!

So the guest house was my first volunteer experience and I have met so many AMAZING people!! the guest house a itself has its pros and cons tho. Pros: - the working hours are really fair, 4 hours / 5 days a week so that you still have time to go to the beach etc. - the breakfast is really good imo - they also provide a car which is absolutely necessary and they pay for about 40€ of gas every week so thats really nice Cons: - oven, washing machine, half the stove, doors and much more didnt work - when i arrived it wasnt really clean, we had to make it cozy ourselves still had a good time, would recommend!!

Overall, the guest house was a good experience. The other volunteers made the experience well worth it and we had an incredible group of people! The facilities left little to be desired, and at first I was shocked. The guesthouse is gorgeous but the volunteer area needs help. The tasks are good and the hours were respected. The town is small, you get to know the people who live there and the area very well! Overall a good experience, thank you!

Oli, Fiona, Pamela and Vicky were really helpful and made my experience so much better! I appreciate all they did to make me feel welcomed and comfortable! I think it would be good for the manager to be a little more involved with the volunteers, give them some rules in regards to the cleaning and maintenance of the comunal areas so everyone could enjoy them, the majority of the girls were very disorganized and not very clean so it can be a big shock when a new volunteer arrives and that has a big impact in the overall experience

This experience was incredible i had so much fun. What made this journey so great was truly the other volunteers i met and the team that works in the guesthouse. Aljezur is such a cute city and is very relaxing. The only bad aspect of this experience was that for 2 weeks straight we only had 1 bathroom for 12 people (no water in the sink though so you had to brush your teeth in the kitchen sink), sometimes the communication between the host and some volunteers wasn't the best and there is only 2 surfboards available. Overall it was a great experience will do it again. Thanks the guest house <3

1) When You arrive, Nobody welcomes you or tell you about the work, but they will be the first complaining that we don't know how to do things 2) there aren't enough surfboards as they claim. There are 2 for 12 volunteers 3) also the car is trash, and it's not even allowed to drive to another city with it 4) you sleep with 5 other people in a room. Some even have to sleep on the floor, so there is not even enough beds for everyone. If you have bad luck you are the one sleeping where everyone is walking 9) Sometimes the whole day there is no water to shower 10) don't choose the guest house, trust!!
