My time at the hostel was pure magic! The isle, with its other-worldly landscapes, grand waterfalls, enchanting castles and ruins, and mystical glens, is rich in history and legend; there will always be something to see! Ruthie and Toni, the wonderful management, were always very helpful and kind, going out of their way so things ran smoothly, helping us with whatever we needed! They even took us on adventures around the area! I made precious memories with them that I'll never forget, so lucky to have met them. It was a very good experience, from the moment I arrived I was treated very well, Ruthie and Toni are very kind people, I was able to learn more about the beautiful Isle of the hostel and I also got to meet incredible people, the agreed conditions were always fulfilled, I definitely recommend it.

It was an amazing experience where I could connect with the local people and nature. I had the opportunity to learn English and Spanish with the volunteers and staff. I developed new skills. I would definitely come back to visit the place again. The beauty of the place is surreal and I felt like it was a work of art. In addition to the location, the people help make the place fantastic. If you have the chance to visit the place, don't miss it. Thank you Ruthie and Toni for making this a delightful experience.

There are not enough words to describe this amazing place. It was definitely my family for 3 months. Ruthie, Toni and the other volunteers are amazing people and full of energy. I improved my English communication a lot and it was super fun. The work is simple and the nature in this place is impressive. I recommend that you do not waste any more time reading the other feedbacks and apply soon for this volunteer opportunity.

Definitely recommend the experience! In the hostel I got to meet amazing people among staff, volunteers and guests. The nature and landscape surrounding the area is stunning. A wee difficult to move around without your own car, but there's always someone willing to give you a lift if you ask, and please do, the island deserves to be explored. Tasks were easy and as discussed beforehand. The shared room is simple but comfy and also the common areas. Big thanks to Ruthie, Toni and my fellow volunteers: Dani, Henrique, Paulo, Vivi and Doug for making my experience even better than expected❤️

The hostel was definitely an unforgettable experience! Kyleakin is a beautiful and peaceful place, not to mention the beauty of the Isle of the hostel in general. The comments are true, you won't want to leave 😮‍💨. The working hours are more than fair and easy, so you will have plenty of time to explore or just relax, plus the staff are very friendly and flexible. My recommendation would be to look up the bus routes to get there in advance, as they are quite limited. Don't always rely on the timetables on google maps. Thanks to all the staff for the great time♥️

My experience in the hostel couldn't be better. Everyone was so nice and I felt extremely welcomed by the team. A huge thank you for the opportunity and hope to visit you again :)) The tasks are not difficult and they are really understanding. The isle is beautiful and you have plenty of hiking to do. First of all: Isle of the hostel is terrific! You'll never regret of going there. It's a spectacular show of nature! the hostel is a cozy hostel, Heather, the manager is an awesome person, willing to make you feel at home, flexible, cheerful, I had the pleasure to go out with her and other volunteers at the hostel. I had a great time with the hostel BP team. In the hostel you have some options of transportation: bus, walk, car and hitchhiking, which I did a lot. You should probably spend at least 1 month there. I'd definitely come back. Cheers!!

I had the most amazing time at the hostel! The work is fair and the hours are totally respected. Heather, the manager, is wonderful! She is friendly, funny, helpful and is always around for us. the hostel is soooo beautiful! The other volunteers were amazing too! I felt like home. Thanks, guys! Go to the hostel, everyone!
