My experience at the hostel was amazing! The staff and other volunteers took me in as if I was family! The job is pretty straight forward and fun, you get to interact a lot with the guests and also you get perks such as free tours and pubcrawls. I would 100% recommend this to anyone who would like to explore Portugal and make friends for life. Jen, the manager is the sweetest in the world and will make you feel welcome since day 1.

My stay at Aveneu Hostel was excellent, from the beginning I was received by a very friendly and fun team that made me feel very comfortable at all times. The tasks are super simple and the work environment is very relaxed, open to suggestions or flexible schedule. I am very grateful for the opportunity of my first volunteer experience, I recommend it and I would return here every time I visit Lisbon. Thank you!

It was a beautiful experience, I really appreciate my time in the hostel, the location is great and it's crazy the number of people I connected with there. The hostel is super clean and organised, it also helps to have a good connection with the guests, cause they are always happy hahaha. Jen(the manager) are so sweet and open to help, the staff are lovely and the breakfast and the pizzas are delicious. I would like to say thank you for all staff, I made good friends there, for sure! ❤️

My time at the hostel was the best first volunteer experience I could ask for, it will be hard to top that one! 200% recommend volunteering here! From the moment I arrived, the whole team was extremely welcoming, making me feel at home and part of the hostel family, I am so appreciative of everyone there, especially of Jen, the most amazing manager! I've learnt so much about hospitality and the social skills that come with + the location is a bonus, with so much time to discover Lisbon & have fun! Thank you so much, the hostel, for this incredible experience and the best memories!

My time at the hostel was amazing. Is the best place to practice your English and meet amazing people. Jen is the best manager in this world. Mayara and Rayane are adorable. I'm so grateful for sharing this time at the hostel. The team and the atmosphere are incredible. Thanks for the best time, the hostel always will be in my heart. ❤️

My stay at the hostel was great! It's in the center of Lisbon, walking distance from the metro and overall a great place to work. Free breakfast, free dinner and weekly spending money. I ate their pizza everyday and never got sick of it haha.

Mariana was an amazing addition to our team! So cheerful, always interacting with guests and worked under her own initiative.

She made the most of the city, got involved in the cultural events in Lisbon, cinema, music and art. She brought this excitement and knowledge back to our guests and really enhanced their stay with us :)

She will be missed, and will for sure bring her positive energy to her next position :)

The hostel is great! If I could I would've stayed longer! I was super well welcomed by the team, especially Jen, the manager, btw she's amazing (you're welcome Jen haha). About the work, you're gonna need some commitment as the job requests responsibilities, but no worries, you'll learn a lot about hospitality while having fun. I highly recommend volunteering at the hostel if you're looking for a meaningful experience, in a historic and stunning city surrounded by super nice people! Thank you, the hostel! I miss you guys!

My stay at the hostel was my first volunteering experience, and it couldn't have been better! The manager and all the staff are very nice and friendly, always willing to help you with anything you need. The work shifts can be heavy at times, but the atmosphere of the place makes it more bearable. The facilities for volunteers are good and make living there comfortable. The location of the hostel is perfect for exploring Lisbon and other places in the area. I would 100% recommend volunteering at the hostel, as you will feel at home and you will take unforgettable memories with you!
