It was an amazing experience. Gigliola is an incredible person! She is super friendly, responsible and welcoming. We went hiking on the mountains and had meals together at times, with pizza and gelato ;) The tasks in the hostel consisted of daily cleaning and arranging guests' rooms, bathrooms and a shared kitchen. There are always 2 volunteers, so doing the work takes just a couple of hours. The location of the experience is a calm and cozy city, reached by bus/train. There's a nearby park and market. People on the street will salute you, being a great way to practice your Italian. Grazie!!

I've had a lovely experience in Schio. Gilgiola even went with us to the mountains by car and we had a few nice dinners together. The work was very easy. We had enough free time to explore the area.

I compiti di pulizia sono semplici e si ha autonomia per svolgerli con i propri tempi. Durante la nostra permanenza li abbiamo aiutati a dipingere e pulire la cucina, quindi abbiamo trascorso due giornate intere con loro, partecipando a pranzi, cene, chiacchiere e momenti conviviali, the guest house che ci ha fatto sentire come in famiglia. the guest house giorno del nostro arrivo a Schio, Gigliola è venuta a prenderci alla stazione degli autobus e ci ha accolti con delle pizze per cena. the guest house paese è molto bello e nei giorni liberi abbiamo potuto visitare Venezia e Verona. Consigliamo questo volontariato al 100%

The volunteering program was a great first experience! In a pretty rural area of Italy, with okay transportation, so be ready to plan for that. But otherwise, surrounded by beautiful mountains and easy to get to major cities. Easy work, would take a few hours a day, and the location is near a grocery store. Good communication as well on what needed to be done. I'd recommend it.

This was my first time participating in the worldpacker program. Gigliola is very friendly, kind, hospitable and always ready to help. If you don't know something and ask her, she will always help you with sincerity. I worked in her garden and enjoyed it for 2 weeks, the work is very easy. I can recommend this place to worldpackers and I would like to thank Gigliola for her hospitality.

This was an amazing work exchange! Schio is a smaller, laid back city that made for the perfect place for our home base. Gigliola was fantastic as well, making us feel welcome and being thorough when explaining tasks. Gigliola is a very busy and because of this, we did not always have much warning for certain days when she needed projects done. However, Gigliola was also very flexible with our work schedules and that allowed us time to visit other cities around Italy. Gigliola also made time to take us up to the mountains for hiking. I would recommend this work exchange to anyone!

Gigliola was a fantastic host and I loved my experience here. The responsibilities were very simple and straightforward. We had plenty of free time to explore Schio and visit other places after completing our tasks and during our days off. The town is gorgeous and very peaceful. Gigliola bought us dinner our first night here, she told us about local festivals, and we went on several hikes with her as well. She was very easygoing about our schedule and explained all of our tasks very well. It was so nice meeting her and having her as a host!

Ah it was very good experience. Schio is beautiful, those mountains and snow on top was amazing. Lully is very welcoming, and the people as well. To keep the house organized it's was easy as well, clean those bathrooms, kitchen and upstairs and sometimes some rooms. Ah and separate the recicles pet tetra park and garbage.

Gigliola is a very kind and very lovely person, she taught the tasks that need to be done during the week and if there is anything different. The tasks are very simple, but you need to be proactive to keep the environment clean and organized. The room is simple but comfortable. Schio has a great location and it is possible to visit the entire region by train. There are trails with magnificent landscapes. It was an incredible experience and I had no problems or negative points.

Acredito que talvez seja algo atípico, visto que esse voluntariado tem ótimas avaliações... Mas fui recebida de uma forma não muito amigável, onde parecia que eu era somente uma funcionária e nao uma voluntária. A recepção foi estranha, a casa tinha muitas atividades para serem feitas (acredito que tenha acumulado). E também não me senti muito segura no local, talvez seja uma experiência individual, mas preferi nao continuar pois nao me senti confortável e nem bem vinda.
