It was an experience that helped me to grow! 👍🏼: >Vibe of the rooftop &common areas > free drinks during shifts/discounts rest of the time > sometimes 3 free days🥳 👎🏼: -long night shifts (till 8:30) in which you start the breakfast (can be a lot sometimes) > you get treated as an employee sometimes & you get the feeling they look down on you (only 1-2 of the staff) > small and unhealthy meals In general I really enjoyed the experience, but mostly because of really cool guests & another volunteer I became really close to! Also because of Claudio & Sara, you made my shifts a lot nicer🫶🏼

It's a great opportunity to meet people and immersive experience in Sicilian culture! The coworkers are great. Very friendly atmosphere! The shifts are cleary organised on 4 types. Morning shift from 8 to 11am taking care of breakfest. Afternoon from 2 to 6pm helping at reception with check in. « Pasta » shift from 8 to 10 pm cooking and serving pasta to all guests but also empting all trash bins and cleaning if needed all rooms and bathrooms in 2 different buildings. Night shift runs from midnight to 8.30 am being at the reception during all night then preparing breakfest and serving from 8.

I really loved the common areas and the roof top at the hostel. They provided us with breakfast and dinner everyday which was nice. We had a couple of issues regarding communication. But overall it was a good experience.

I really look forward to come back to this beautiful place & I recommend l'the hostel if u want to explore the region, meet internationals & work with a really nice team! Spacious common areas, clean kitchen, rooftop with a view (etna), central location, only 24h/week (2 nightshifts) so a lot of free time for u! Sometimes the extent of the tasks (what it involves) was not well communicated (so ask for it in advance). And the room for 5 volunteers is not big & has little storage space (but consider it part of the experience ;-)). No hidden hints in this review. I would definitely do it again!

I had a great time at the hostel! The staff is very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere always good. The work is simple and can be a lot of fun. The other volunteers and the staff made it a great experience for me. I will miss the calcetto evenings so much. Hopefully we will see each other again! Thank you for the great time!

I had such a good time at the hostel:) The shifts were easy and you had a lot of free time to explore the city. I am really happy that I had this experience and that I got to know so many amazing people. I hope one day I can come back to Catania.

What can I say about the hostel... I felt home since my first day OVER THERE All the staff is funny , supportive and patient to teach us the chores... They respect totally the schedule and hours... In more than one month I've never felt myself working, because the work there is really enjoyable and not demanding at all , even the night shift ... I can't recommend them enough... You will be so lucky if they accept you Thank you guys with all my heart 🙏

My 1-month volunteering at the hostel has just ended and I feel like I've experienced so much in a relatively short period of time. The hostel is beautiful and since it's very popular in Catania, I had the opportunity to know many different people from different countries everyday. The staff is lovely and everyone is ready to make you feel at home. In my opinion the tasks, even including the night shifts, are not heavy at all and you have a lot of free time to visit the surroundings, Catania is indeed the perfect base if you want to explore east Sicily. Strongly recommended!

This was my first experience and I'm very happy with the place! Since I arrived I felt a great welcome from the staff and they make you part of their family. The tasks are easy and the agreed hours and tasks are respected. The hostel is very nice and has a very good atmosphere. In general, I feel very lucky to have had this experience and I would recommend it 100%!

Judit is a really nice girl, always smiling, she immediately got on well with the other volunteers and with the staff, always careful and organized with her tasks.

The hostel will stay in my heart forever. I leave feeling happy to have been a part of it for a while. The staff is super friendly, they give you a lot of freedom, the hostel is very nice and comfortable, in the historic center of Catania. They give you a good breakfast and pasta for dinner every night. I recommend it 100%! Manashas, ​​I will miss you very much!! IN BOCCA AL LUPO ❤️😂
