The nature cannot be beat. Tons of hiking trails and a breathtaking view from the lake. I worked with wonderful volunteers and the hosts (Elly and Wolfgang) were not only great but also flexible, and their son is just the cutest. I am so glad I got to spend this time in Fernspass!

We had a fantastic time at the Alpen Retreat. The volunteers, guests, and owners were all awesome people and fun to be around. The work load is light and leaves plenty of time to do things in the day. Only complaint is that we didn't get all of the days off that we were promised, but besides that we loved our time here and I would absolutely recommend.

This was my first experience through Worldpackers and it was wonderful! The location, the team of other volunteers, and the opportunities to explore nature were all absolutely fabulous! The only downside was a slight miscommunication at the start of the trip, which turned out to be quite the humorous situation! 😂 Elly and Wolfgang have truly given people an awesome opportunity to travel in a unique and meaningful way! Thank you both for letting me volunteer here, even if only for a week! I wish I had more time to offer on this trip!

I had an amazing experience at Alpen retreat. I met absolutely amazing people that I will stay friends with for sure! ❤️ Elly and Wolfgang were welcoming and friendly and made me feel at home 🌻 Also their son is the most adorable treasure ever!

Dear Elly and Wolfgang! Thank you for the amazing time you made come true by hosting us. It was a great month filled with joy, new friends, a lot of nature and fresh air and good times. The Center is a sweet and spiritual experience in the most picturesque setting. Perfect if you love nature and the outdoors. Elly and Wolfgang are very welcoming and kind hosts who are flexible and understanding! Really the only negatives I have are based on my own preferences - bathroom is located in a separate building than the sleeping area and it's a bit isolated.

So, I went to there willing to connect with myself and with nature, to have a completely different experience of what I am used to have. It is an amazing place, incredible views and warm atmosphere, but is far away from everything. For me was very fine because my goal was to have a time with myself in that place. Elly and Wolfgang are incredibly kind and I have such a beautiful month! I achieved what I want to and felt like home 🍀

The Center was my first place volunteering in Worldpackers and it was amazing! I'm forever thankful for the opportunity that Elly and Wolfgang gave me to be there, and being able to connect with the other volunteers, the place, the people and the work that they are doing.
