I recommend this wonderful place to everyone! I had an amazing experience at Alpen Retreat. Located in breathtaking nature, this special place felt like home. The food was fantastic, the place for the volunteers is cozy and the job is very simple. There is a lot of flexibility and respect towards the volunteers, and I felt that there was always someone who would listen to me. Hope to return in the future, an experience that is recommended for all!

My time at the Alpen Retreat was truly transformative. The energy of the house, the kindness of the people, and the deep spiritual atmosphere allowed me to reconnect. Surrounded by breathtaking nature, with crystal-clear lakes and beautiful hiking trails just nearby, every moment here felt like an invitation to inner peace and gratitude. Waking up to the mountains and walking in silence through nature was a healing experience on its own. I leave with a heart full of gratitude for all that I lived and learned here. I highly recommend Alpen Retreat 💜🌻

Volunteering at the Alpen Retreat was a wonderful experience. The nature around the retreat is great, the food was delicious, and most of all the people and team were truly amazing — so warm, supportive, and inspiring. I went on many hikes, swam in the lakes and joined some classes. The tasks were preparing meals, cleaning up afterwards, or helping keep the house tidy, which felt meaningful as part of such a positive community. I learned a lot and left with beautiful memories, very grateful for this opportunity.

I couldn't have asked for a better first volunteering experience. The whole atmosphere at the Alpen is about peace, inner calm and acceptance. I am very grateful for the meaningful encounters and experiences that I got to have during my time here. The tasks are agreed on weekly in advance, so that everyone knows what they'll be doing and what days they are off. A big, heartfelt thanks to the owners, Wolfgang and Elly (and co-owner Elijah of course), for creating this peaceful haven in the Alps and allowing people to experience it as volunteers. Sophie and I had a wonderful stay at Alpen retreat. We were welcomed immediately with open arms by Elly, Wolfgang, and the lovely manager Elena. This is the perfect place to come to experience nature (beautiful lake and hikes nearby!), slow days, and the BEST food cooked with love by chef Fabi 😘 The working hours were very manageable and the owners da very good job at making you feel part of a team with the other volunteers. We were also allowed to take part in a few classes with the guests during our stay We will miss the atmosphere at Alpen retreat and we hope to be back one day! Xx

Alpen retreat is the best retreat center in Europe.. Everything is so beautiful, from the Amazing Nature around it, to the nice and kind people like the owners Wolfgang and Elly and the amazing volunteer coordinator Elena, together with all the volunteers, this place was a great personal university of Awareness, natural life and meditation. I suggest you to visit the Alpen Retreat as soon as possible.. It's an amazing volunteer opportunity.. Blessings and love to everyone

We were welcomed immediately when staying at the Alpen. Tasks are explained in detail when you arrive and you are always welcome to ask more questions. The accomodation is a cosy house for volunteers with enough room for everyone. We loved staying here although we cut our time shorter. We would love to return ❤️

The Alpen is a magical place. It's a space to slow down, reconnect with the beautiful surrounding nature and with yourself. You can join amazing retreats and explore different practices. The work is fair and enjoyable, but what truly makes this place special is the people. You're always surrounded by kind and loving people who welcome you with open arms and quickly feel like family. From Elly and Wolfgang to the volunteers, everyone helps make this place feel truly magical I'm deeply grateful for my time spent here.
