Unfortunately we did not have a good experience with camila. She was was not able to do simple tasks no matter how much we tried to explain things to her, she seemed disinterested. The main problem was the complaints from the other volunteers that they did not want to share a room with her because her personal hygiene was very bad. We tried to help her but the situation did not improve so unfortunately we had to ask her to leave early to respect the other volunteers who shared a room with her.

El trabajo es fácil aunque debes estar dispuesta a hacer de todo. Se trabaja muy relajada y tomándote tus tiempos. Cuando toca trabajar en construcción es más cansador pero no se trabaja fuera del horario laboral. Hay cosas que podrían mejorar, pero ellos son muy buenos con los voluntarios.

Jhonny y Katy son anfitriones excelentes. Fueron muy amables y son personas que te transmiten alegría ! Cumplieron con todo lo acordado desde el inicio. Sin duda regresaré cuando tenga la oportunidad !!

Ha sido una experiencia única. Johnny es muy simpático y sabe conocer a una persona y desarrollar una buena relación y humor a partir de ella. Las instalaciones son un lugar en construcción,pero con internet,electricidad y agua perfecta,gran capacidad de socializar con otros worldpackers y una correcta facilitación de ello por parte de Johnny,el cual a veces hace actividades como una barbacoa para asegurar una buena conexión entre invitados. York es muy bonita y el paseo a la ciudad es muy bueno,una experiencia que me ha cambiado la vida y recomiendo a todo el mundo.

I had a good experience volunteering here. The tasks were easy and straightforward, mainly general housekeeping and a few odd jobs around the place. Johnny and Katrin are lovely hosts. Communication was simple and mostly done via text. I'd recommend this position to other volunteers 😊

I had a great time in York! The accommodations aren't what's shown in the picture, but it's a cozy dorm with a triple bunk bed and a well stocked kitchen. I became friends with my fellow volunteers, and enjoyed my days off. On working days, sometimes it could be stressful getting all the washing done on time, but for the most part it wasn't an issue. Johnny and Katrin were lovely, though I didn't see a lot of them.

My stay here was really nice! It was my first volunteer experience and I couldn't have had it better here! Jonny and Katrin are lovely people and very respectful. The hours were respected and the communication was good too. Thank you again!! :D

York is a lovely city. Everything looks like it came out the guest house movie, when in fact it was the other way around. The placement is a few minutes from the city, but it's not far at all — totally normal. The space where the volunteers stay is small, but it's comfortable. It's a triple bunk bed; there's a sofa and a wardrobe for us to store our things. The kitchen is very small, but it has pretty much everything we need. They go grocery shopping every week, and if you need more or want to change a brand or flavor, you can ask. The activities depend on the day. They always treat everyone well.

I had an amazing time here! The workload was super light, the most I ever worked in a day was about 2.5 hours. Johnny and Katy are incredible hosts; they always came by with groceries every week and checked up on us to make sure everything was going great. This place is perfect if you want to take a relaxing break while still being close to everything. York isn't huge, but it's big enough for plenty of things to do and places to shop. It's only a 20 minute walk from the guest house to the city center. Honestly, Johnny and Katy are the best hosts I've ever had!Hoping to come back in the future!

It was a really good experience, I was able to enjoy the city cuase is a small town and you can do the task really fast, i met incredible people and the stay was more than excellent

If any potential host is reading this then I can tell you that she is a good person and very helpful. She did a good job cleaning in our guest house and she got on well with the other volunteers. I have no problem to recommend her.
