La experiencia

We love food, good ingredients and turning them into something delicious. Our son Nol (21) is growing as a chef and wants to learn from professionals. If you have education in cooking and/or serious experience to help him professionalize, please apply!

Programa detallado

Our family is food-enthusiastic. We love great dishes, prepared with ingredients from our (permaculture) garden. So you can expect passion and enthusiasm, super fresh ingredients and a well equipped kitchen.
You work together with our son Nol, a fun and smart young man, to teach him tips, tricks, recipes, work under pressure, safety, hygiene and a clean kitchen.

We grow all kinds of fruits & vegetables, including asparagus and rhubarb, chards and kale. We have chickens for eggs (and after 4 years for soup), rabbits for meat, sheep for mowing and meat.

We have some great recipes and typical Croatian dishes as well, that we would be happy to share with you.
Barbara is the fermenter: she makes flower wines, berry wines, kombucha, kvass, waterkefir, kefir, yogurt, kimchi, sauerkraut, turshya and sometimes sourdough bread.

Actividades & Turnos

If you like, you can help out in the garden to see how we grow our vegetables and feed them with home made compost and fertilizers. Gardening is optional.

We expect you to work together with Nol and have fun in the kitchen. Our lunches are simple (bread with home made spreads like hummus, ajvar butter, nut butters, a salad) and our dinners more extended.

We're not people that watch the clock; your job is more to fuel Nol's passion and learning.

Reglas

We expect fun and flexibility, openness and drive. You can expect this all from us as well.
We expect you to be a responsible person with an adult attitude. You keep your caravan or room clean and you keep the work spaces organised. You are an example for this young man here!
We will provide you with a bed and 3 (organic, colorful & delicious) meals (with ingredients mostly from our terrain) per day. There is always a vegetarian option.
Although we are meat eaters, we enjoy vegetarian food as well. But veganism we do not appreciate because in our climate region that is not sustainable. So if you eat vegan please don't apply.
We don't appreciate fixations or dogma's in general, but we do appreciate fun and flexibility!
