La Experiencia

Come and help with Housework, Animals. Live in my home and help clean, cook and walk the dogs. You may be asked to do additional jobs like wash the car or help chop wood. Mostly it is housework and Dog walking. We have three Dogs of different ages. Sometimes your 5 hours will be split between 3 or 4 short dog walks Throughout the day.

I had such a lovely experience at the host! When I went, the work was very easy and enjoyable – just walking the dogs in the morning and afternoon, and helping a little with keeping the house tidy. The rest of the time was free to relax, explore the beautiful woods and nature around Dalavich, or enjoy Irene's wonderful cooking. I always felt so welcome, and I will never forget the whole the host family: Irene, Chris, Himash, Malky, Ned, Nala, and Smoky. They all made my stay truly special! I'm so grateful for my time here and would highly recommend it to anyone!

I just have to thank Irene for accepting me into her home. I really enjoyed the time I spent in Dalavich, it's a beautiful and peaceful place. The forest is wonderful, there's a lot of tranquility there... But what was hardest for me to leave was Himash and Malky... 🖤🤎🥹 I'll never forget what Christopher did for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything... 💚

I loved my time at Irene's place. I always felt comfortable, was able to spend time in nature and with the dogs and could keep busy by helping out around the house. It's a great way to disconnect, eat delicious food and meet some of the nicest, friendliest locals you'll ever encounter. Thank you so much Irene! I already miss the dogs, the nature and most of all the people

I had a good time in the host Cottage. It was basically feeding the dogs (which are adorable! I'll miss them) and taking them for a walk twice a day and doing some housework. The rest of the time is for yourself. They were quite considerate with me being a vegetarian and their cooking was delicious. Unfortunately to me, they smoke inside of the house so I would've preferred to know that beforehand. The place is quite remote so if you love nature and you don't have any problem with the smoke, I would recommend it. Thank you Irene and Chris for having me and especially Ned, Maulkie and Hamish
