Laura & her son Ronald were both incredibly loving, kind, flexible, and funny hosts. They both speak English very well and are great at communicating. The place is absolutely beautiful, cozy, calm, and right on the beach. It is the perfect mix of free time and activities to bond with the hosts and other volunteers and Laura has fantastic recommendations for activities around the town as well. I very much enjoyed helping out painting the roof, the daily gatherings at lunch, and relaxing at night and sharing stories and walking the four dogs at sunset and sunrise. I hope to come back, Much love!

This place is just amazing and Laura is the most nicest Person I have ever met! Her and Ronald tried everything to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I would recommend these two at any time!

It was amazing experience. We was planning to stay one week and in the end we stay 2 weeks and if we was having more time we would have stayed more. The place is amazing in front of the ocean. The work is fun, you need to help to build a wood caban but doesn't matter if you don't have the skills before, you learn, you try and you succeed and it feels really good. It can be wood work or paint or lots of different thinks. Also we was walking dos on the beach every day so really nice walks. The meal provided is usually lunch and big enough. The host is really really nice. You will enjoy !

Our month with Laura was just unforgettable. Laura is amazing, respectful and attentive. We love her way of thinking and living. We had so good moments with her... Always in our heart. The work is very diverse, easy, absolutely not boring. You can propose projects to her, she is very open. The work with the dogs is the most important for Laura, it means : walking on the beach with them. So easy, so pleasant. The room is rustic, but honestly, not a problem at all. With this house, you live always outside! 😁 The description for the review was to short for writing all we think. It's PARADISE!

I don't even know where to start! Laura and Ron are such wonderful, kind, generous, loving people; I can only recommend you to go spend some time with them. The "work" is simple, easy, laid-back, sometimes a bit physical but you're in a paradisiac setting with the beach literally in front of the house. What more could you ask for? I shared my room with another volunteer, it is very rustic, simple living but extremely humbling and healing. Laura cooks great and the sunsets you'll see are magical ! Thank you so much once again, LCDCA is forever in my heart.
