I had a great time volunteering here! I thank the staff and fellow volunteers for everything I learned from them, the unforgettable memories, and the delicious meals that were prepared for me. I would like to come back in the future and recommend this to anyone considering coming to Kamakura.

ありがとございますした!This has been a wonderful experience all around. All the people were nice to work with and it was a pleasure to stay with other travelers. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to stay in a more relaxed part of Japan. There are a handful of hostels in this experience and you'll be asked to stay overnight in them. On your days off, you share a guest house with other volunteers. It's all very nice and makes sense when you get here. All in all, it is a great way to see Japan and meet both travelers and locals.

I had a great experience in Kamakura, working in the different hostels where Mr. Kuni assigned us to work. We lived in a big house with lots of volunteers, so I got to know a lot of people and had a great time together. Working the night shift is very smooth and the local staff are very welcoming and flexible. The meals they offer are good and you can also cook at home. Kamakura is a tourist town, but it's very quiet at night, the beach is nearby and it's a great place to relax. You'll be 1 hour from Tokyo, which makes it super easy to get there and back in the same day. I highly recommend! :)

Overall, a stellar first Worldpackers experience -- food is amazing, job is chill, the host, Kuni, is very responsive, and the other volunteers are incredible as well. Note that you will be working at two or three of five different hostels and will have to sleep at them during your shifts, and the sleeping hours are not included in the 24 hour/week description in the listing. Living together in the volunteer house allows for a great community, and I am overall very satisfied with my time in Kamakura!

The month I stayed in Kamakura was the best time of my life! Work is super easy and you can meet a lot of cool Japanese people from day shifts. Even if you work you have whole day off always so you can explore Kamakura, see shrines and temples and swim in the ocean on different beach every day. Food is amazing, every time you get different thing and it's always incredibly tasty. I would recommend to everybody!

I had a good time in Kamakura., the are is beautiful. The work hours are during the night and it is quite simple. You will get delicious meals on your working days. I also enjoyed sharing the house with other volunteers. Just be aware that wifi doesn't work in the house.

I had a lovely stay at Kamakura, Kuni is very attentive to your needs and wants, a very wonderful host ! The job is a good compromise for a traveller who wants to have time to go sightseeing in the day, because you work at night, and Kamakura is a very convient place to go on day trips either in Tokyo or to other cities nearby. The staff and other travellers are also very friendly. Wonderful experience !

I had an amazing time in Kamakura and would go back any time if I could ! It is a lovely town and I really enjoyed living together with the other volunteers. However if you work remotely be aware that the WiFi doesn't work in the house!
