My stay at the hostel McCools was incredible amazing, besides enjoying and connecting with the nature, the place has magical views, talking to the guests and know about their stories was something that I also enjoyed a lot and most important is the people I met that after 3 weeks I consider them now as family. I truly hope to come back to this place in some years, after all is the place where I built plenty of memories that now I keep in my heart forever. Jacey & Andre are wonderful hosts, they always helped us, cared and managed it for us the volunteers to have a great time together.

I had the best experience at Finns. I wish I could've stayed longer. I feel like there was still so much for me to explore. The work is super easy & the hosts are very responsive and take care of everything in a rapid manner. They are there if you need anything :) The other volunteers are what made this experience the best, we were a little family and I am walking away with forever friends. The hostel is a quick bus ride or little walk to the next town but I felt like everything was well connected and I was able to make the most of my time there. I even got to go to Scotland! 10/10 recommend!

I was placed in their other hostel, YHA, so it was a little bit lonely at times. However, Andre and Jacey are wonderful to work with and are super understanding about schedules/mistakes/etc. I loved the Bushmills area and there was a lot of nice scenery only a short walk or short bus ride away. The work was not difficult at all and I had a very nice dorm to myself. I would definitely recommend applying here. As I said, the only downside was that I was alone a lot because of being placed at YHA. I met some worldpackers at Finns and they did not have that issue.

Working at the hostel's was such a great experience! Being so immersed in nature was truly beautiful. The hosts, Jacey and Andre were excellent! They were quick to answer any questions or concerns and were always close by if we needed them. The hostel is about a 40 minute walk to the nearest town which at times can be a bit isolating, however meeting and talking to the other volunteers and guests made it all very worth it. The work is easy with housekeeping and cleaning, and reception work. It was truly an experience I would recommend to anyone, especially as my first Worldpackers experience!

I had a great time at the hostel! The work is easy (making beds, cleaning and reception) and you'll have plenty of free time to explore the hostel, which is stunning. Perfect place to relax and enjoy some walk and for meeting travellers (volunteers and guests) from all over the world. (You'll be staying in an annex; one thing to bear in mind though is that it can get quite cold and super windy sometimes.) It was an amazing experience overall. Thanks everyone!

It was my first Worldpackers experience and I really recommend it ! The work is not too difficult and you have a lot of free time to explore the beautiful area. The host always answers questions really quickly and they won't kill you for making mistakes. They also have a lot of trust in the volunteers which I really appreciated.

The hostel's feels like home, it's a really nice place where you can relax, enjoy nature, it's close to beautiful places and you can walk for hours. The tasks are easy and you have free time to do what you want The hosts (Jaceyln and Andre) are really nice people, they always answer your questions and they trust you, so if you go to the hostel it would be very nice if you use that trust in the best way! I really recommend coming here, it's an amazing place and it really feels like home ❤️

This was my first experience with Worldpackers and I think, it was a perfect place to start with volunteering. The tasks were not difficult and I had enough free time to see everything I wanted during only two weeks. André was very nice and understanding. He visits the hostel like once a week so he puts all his trust into the volunteers, which is quite brave. We slept in a room for volunteers right outside the hostel. It was nice however more and more volunteers were arriving and some of the rest had to leave the place for another hostel to free some bads for others.

I was at the Bushmills YHA for 3 weeks, which is old but clean, and much bigger and a different vibe to the hostel's. Jacey and Andre are good hosts, they are busy so I didn't see them much at the start but they are very available on the staff chat. The training at the very start was minimal but they reply quickly to any questions and the work is not hard. The others working or volunteering there were all lovely and it was great making friends with them! Most of the guests were families or big sports team/ band groups. Exploring places around the coast area was great too. Would recommend!
