Volunteering at the hostel was an incredible experience! The owner Rory and manager Declan are an absolute pleasure to work with. They are always true to their word, treat all volunteers with respect, and keep the workplace lighthearted and fun. The long-term staff are always willing to help and make you feel like family. The work is fulfilling without being too challenging, and your shifts are short enough to still enjoy the city such as the local pubs/clubs, beach, and historic churches.

O hostel é muito legal, uma casa grande que constitui uma família mesmo, daquela que se reúne para comer na mesa da cozinha e por os papos em dia! o staff foi a melhor parte de toda experiência, fiz amigos pra vida ali! a Irlanda é realmente uma ilha chuvosa o que dificulta passeios e trips a mercê do tempo! o voluntariado é praticamente limpeza para quem não fala inglês e recepção para quem fala inglês. mas se você se dedicar sempre poderá praticar inglês com quem está na casa ;)

I loved my time at the hostel. It became like a second home for me. Rory is so kind and welcoming. I was able to work on my skills as a receptionist and become confident working in a hostel. The place it self is so cozy and charming.

The hostel is a fantastic place with wonderful people. Owner Rory and manager Declan are amazing people who make the place have a magical and very friendly atmosphere. I 100% recommend this hostel to anyone who wants to do volunteer work. I made friends for life and I left there with the doors open, I intend to return in the near future. Tasks are easy, hours are flexible, breakfast is very good. Thank you for having welcomed me, I spent unforgettable moments in this hotel.

It was my first worldpacker experience and I loved it. They made it feel like home, everyone there was really nice, from occasional guests to Declan and Rory who are the bosses. They always tried to made me as comfortable as possible and helped me with everything. Job is not hard and u usually share shift with other volunteers so u never get bored.

I had such a great time at the hostel, and would definitely recommend it! It is a really cozy place, and social, working with volunteers from other countries and constantly meeting new guests, from Ireland as well as other countries. The tasks are easy and it's also easy to discuss which days you want off.
