Help us with horse care on a day to day basis

Bad experience! Think twice before you leave your country and spend your money volunteering at this place: 1 The work with the horses carried out on the farm depends 100% on voluntary labor, but it seems that we are employees; 2. The hostess was disrespectful, she yelled wildly at my wife when putting a horse for a few minutes in the wrong stall; 3 My wife and I have been unfairly labeled "lazy", perhaps because we refuse to work overtime; 4 Working with horses poses a certain physical risk, as in certain situations they become dangerously agitated."

The family is really nice, Any and Terry are really nice people. I think I got bad luck because when I arrived I had her grandmas room and it was full of stuff, so I did had space to put any of my things, also, the kitchen is not very tidy but I guess that for some people that is not an inconvenient The work es heavy but easy and there is a Castle near the town Because of the daily hours you are probably not going to be able to go explore or something else in the laboral days, because it was from 8 to 11am and then from 3:30 to 5:30, and you will end the day really dirty Andy cooks delicio

Terri and her family were absolutely amazing and very welcoming. I felt at home immediately! Working with their horses was also incredible. I've learnt so many things and got so much more comfortable around them. It's a HAPPY place. Terri and the whole family were very patient, helpful and kind with whatever I needed to learn. I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to be with you all. It was, without any doubts, the best experience life has given me so far. Thank you so much!! 😘

My experience at the home couldn't be better! It was just lovely. Terri and Andy are great hosts ready to make your stay amazing. During the month I was at the home I felt at home. It was not everything about working, they truly are involved and interested to share with you and teach you about their life style, horses, etc. Food is amazing, you will always have time to share a cup of tea with Andrew and talk about whatever you are interested. I'm so happy that I had the opportunity of staying with this lovely family, I'm going to miss them so much.

Feel so lucky to have my first Worldpackers experience in the home. Have been loved and well fed 🥰 Terri takes good care of every living creature in the house and makes sure that all the people and animals are cozy and happy. Andy prepares the best meals and I just couldn't stop stuffing more food into my stomach! Phili and Chris are a loving pair that is always there to help. Grandma Gloria owns the loveliest attic I've ever seen. And the animals are just sooo adorable!!! Feel connected with every one of them❤️ Enjoyed every single moment here and can't wait to come back🥺

I really enjoyed my two weeks here, it was great to spend time in the outdoors and with the horses. It is obvious how much Terri cares about all her animals - the horses, dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, goose and anything else I've forgotten :) If you don't like animals this isn't the place for you! The work was physical but easy - lots of mucking out including in all weathers so come prepared with waterproofs. The family was welcoming and the food was tasty, especially the home-cooked evening meals when everyone came together to eat dinner.

I had an amazing experience! Terri's family is very nice and friendly. They make you feel at home. It is an excellent place to stay if you love animals and being in touch with nature. The manual work isn't hard and you have time for yourself. I highly recommend this experience. Best of luck to all

This was one of the best volunteering experiences I have ever had. The contact with nature is incredible and moments of peace are guaranteed. The horses are wonderful, each with its own personality. You help by giving food and cleaning the fields and stables (removing the poo and making the bed of dry straw). The hostess and her family (husband, mother, daughter and son-in-law) are amazing people who will teach you a lot about English culture and curiosities about horses and country life. I am extremely grateful for the experience!
