We are a relaxed hostel, that work to achieve the best experience to the guest.
We have a team in place, composed by 5 members, it has been the same team since we opened.

We will not micromanage anyone, when in need of help, ask!
When you have a question or need guidance, reach!
We are here to help and to make sure that all the necessary tools are provided.


Part of the team! Most member of our the team are Immigrants from other countries, that have become good friends to one another. We believe having different cultures and difference views will make for the optimal experience!

Staying at LX Hill was the best experience. This was my first time volunteering and I felt so comfortable with them. Joao is a great leader and the hostel is a beautiful place to be. I met nice people and I could enjoy all the city too. Everything was excellent and I would come back if I return to Lisboa 🩷 no doubts!

My experience at the hostel has been truly positive. The job itself is really manageable, and the shifts are well organized leaving a lot of free time. I was really lucky with the other volunteers, who were chosen according to age and provenance, creating a perfect team. Joao and Louis are very flexible and ready to help when needed. I highly recommend!

I had an amazing time at the LX hill. The work itself is very chill, manageable and fun, you have a lot of free time as well as two days off per week. The team in house is very helpful and everyone has a very positive attitude and the host and manager Joao is very welcoming. It is a great way to meet new people and explore Lisbon and Portugese culture. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested.

I had a really great time volunteering at this hostel! The atmosphere is relaxed, and the work is easy and well-organised, which made each day enjoyable. The team is friendly and welcoming, and Joao, the host, was always checking in to make sure everyone was having a good time and felt comfortable.

There’s plenty of free time to explore the city — the location is perfect, and everything you need is close by. Overall, it was a really fun and rewarding experience, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of coming here! :)

This was my first time volunteering through world-backpackers and I had the best 5 weeks at The Lx Hostel.
The working and living space was very comfortable and spacious and you can become good friends with the other volunteers.
You have plenty of time to explore Portugal in your days off.
Joao the host is amazing and is always there if you have any questions and will respond very quickly if you need anything.
Would recommend:)
