If you’re doing a volunteer experience in the Philippines, it has to be Siquijor and Tahanan! It’s a truly special place with people who made me feel at home from the first day. My social media role was focused on photography and everything was very clear. Life there was the perfect balance between work and enjoying the island. The team became like family - caring, warm and always ready for an adventure. We explored together and created memories I’ll never forget. I honestly didn’t want to leave and I’m so grateful for this home away from home. I know I’ll be back one day. THANK YOU💛

My experience was exceptional. The staff is warm, generous, and truly welcoming, creating a joyful, family-like environment for volunteers. The place is beautiful, the room is very comfortable, and the conditions are excellent. Paige, the manager, is supportive, open to ideas, and great to work with. I’m grateful for the chance to grow as a yoga teacher and massage practitioner. I’m sure I’ll be back.

Volunteering at Tahanan was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. Huge thanks to Peige for giving me the opportunity to be part of such a beautiful place. The resort itself is stunning, peaceful, and feels like home. The people are incredibly warm—you’re never treated like a stranger. Through this experience, I connected with amazing individuals and felt deeply connected to the beauty and spirit of Siquijor. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience I’ll always treasure.

My stay at Tahanan was incredible. The team made me feel like family from the beginning. The resort’s location is beautiful, and every day you get to see amazing sunsets over the ocean. The food is delicious as well.
I’m deeply grateful to Peige for giving me the opportunity to volunteer here — it’s an experience I’ll never forget. Thank you to all the staff, for treating me with so much kindness and making me feel at home, especially Benjie,who showed me the whole island and took me to the most beautiful and unique places in Siquijor.
Tahanan means “home,” and this place truly is one♥️.

I had an amazing experience at Tahanan!
Everyone was so kind to me — Peige and all the staff. We all worked together and helped each other out.
The place is literally right in front of the sea, so you can enjoy the sunset every day from the hotel, and explore the beautiful surroundings of that part of the island.
Food isn’t included, but honestly, the kitchen team was always offering something to eat haha. It was great to try Filipino food and learn how to make pizzas!
