Graaaan experiencia en Maka, las palabras me van a quedar cortas para todo lo que quiero decir, pero tuve la oportunidad de aprender muchas actividades que eran nuevas para mi siempre con el apoyo del equipo.
Además, conocí personas increíbles qué definitivamente no habría podido hacer de otra manera.
El equilibrio entre trabajo y disfrutar del lugar también fue el necesario pues en mi tiempo libre conocí muchos lugares de Oaxaca tanto de manera turística como local.
Muy agradecido y espero en el siguiente viaje hacer parada aquí de nuevo.

My first volunteer experience, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place. A wonderful space with wonderful people. It’s been home for a whole month, and it will always feel like home here in Oaxaca.
Thanks to Yoka, Mari and Flor for keeping the place running, clean and shining.

As soon as I arrived at Maka, I felt right at home. For my first ever hostel volunteer experience, the beds were super comfortable and daily tasks on reception and bar were minimal. Yoka is a fantastic host, taking into account your preferred shifts and days off upon request so you can explore Oaxaca/work remotely.

Special shout-out to the other volunteers who made my experience so special during the Día de los Muertos celebrations and to Yoka, Laurens, Jos, Flor and Marie ❤️

A home away from home, I can’t wait to return soon!

Maka Hostel was truly an unforgettable experience. I learned new things, got to know Oaxaca more deeply, and made friends both locally and from all over the world. I have so many special memories thanks to Maka. If you’re considering doing a volunteering experience, Maka is and will always be the best option in Oaxaca—I 100% recommend it. Yoka and Laurens are excellent hosts and are always willing to help! Gracias por todo Maka hostel
