BnB & Huskytours in Sweden

You can learn a lot about life in such a harsh condition above the polar circle. And you can also learn everything about my huskies if you are interested. In your free time, you will be able to join a tour or even drive a dog sledge on your own for free.
The happy dogs that love to cuddle are the best reward for your work.

I'm a nature guide with a pack of around 40 Alaskan huskies, living outside Kiruna in the North of Sweden with my dogs and touristic company (started it around 4 years ago). I usually have about 3-4 helpers during winter. In summer 1-2. We usually eat dinner all together and take turns in preparing them. Otherwise, the kitchen is always open and the fridge full ;)

I truly have no words to describe the incredible opportunity I had working at Husky Dreams.
Thank you, Per, Sanne, and all the amazing volunteers I met for making me feel at home the entire time. These four months have been full of hard work, but I would do it all over again a hundred times.
A special thanks to the dogs, my bananas for taking me all over with the sled and keeping me company whenever I was feeling down.
This was a life changing experience that not only disciplined me but also offered me endless days of fun and breathtaking scenery.

I had a great time at Husky Dreams!
43 dogs that I miss. 43 very strong and beautiful bananas that give you a lot of love and kisses.
Per and Sanne are very nice people, they made sure I felt at home and always worried if I was okay.
Volonteers rooms are very nice and clean, and plenty of food.
Nice atmosphere also with the other volonteers. Thank you Till for making me breakfast every morning :)
I highly recommend this experience.
Thank you again Per and Sanne for everything and hope to see you and the dogs soon🫶

It was complicated, even after a 22h flight he asked us to shovel snow and carry food, heavy work. the place was too disorganized to live, the work is full time, with breaks of 1 or two hours at most and there is no time to finish, because in addition to the tasks with the dogs and the snow there is the kitchen and the house. The instructions are very superficial and quick, you will have to learn and do it yourself, I don't recommend it, even though the snow and the dogs are cool.

Boys, we both know that you cheated the system of world backers. You had a plan to stay only two weeks as you said to my other voulonteer.
I never except stays shorter then 1 month as it takes alot of time to instructions new voulonteers. And you guys also lied about your English skills. It was impossible to communicate efficiently with both of you.

Moreover you did far from 5 hours of work a day and the task given was seldom finished.

The experience started very well, taking care of the Huskies is really cool and fun. But it's limited there.
The experience with the host was terrible from the moment we said we were leaving early, he didn't want to give us time off, he wanted us to work much longer hours
The house was not in good condition, both structurally for living and cleaning (we spent the first 2 days making the place habitable)
The experience with snow is difficult, so expect to have heavy days of work and as the hours are divided throughout the day you won't be able to do anything else.

An incredible experience, many dreams come true, sometimes a lot of work, other calmer days, but every day there is something to do, sometimes lack of coordination and lack of faith in communication but nothing terrible, everything is for the dogs, I will miss each of them very much and Also to the work team, very good relationship with the other volunteers, greetings to the “Broken Dreams Team” much encouragement and luck
