Bed Station Hostel & Bar

While volunteering here at Bed Station, you will be living at the party! Every weekend we host amazing parties at our bar downstairs, giving you the chance to mingle with travelers and locals alike. During the day, you can spend time relaxing and sharing a coffee with friends at the bar, or soaking up the sun on one of our beautiful balconies. On your days off, you will have plenty of time to explore the beautiful nature surrounding Shkoder!

I would describe myself as a fun-loving and positive person, and I try to find staff and volunteers with the same energy. We are always here for you if you need anything and we want to make you feel at home during your time with us!

i love bedstation!!!! rino was such an amazing host and is so welcoming and kind. he has such a fabulous energy and was so good about taking the volunteers to places that you wouldn’t normally see as just a tourist which was so appreciated. the work was very chill and straightforward as well. i definitely recommend talking with the people at the bar, they are all so so lovely. shkoder was such a great town to spend time in and i miss everyone and shkoder so much already!

This was my first experience with volunteering and I fear nothing will ever live up to it! I can’t stress enough how much fun it was to be part of the bed station team. Rino was an amazing character in our time there and I believe we have made a friend for life with him. He went above and beyond to make sure our time there was a good experience. He took us on day trips and showed us the best spots in skhoder. We will definitely be back! We love you Rino! Hours were super flexible and work was easy, definitely recommend!

My friend and I stayed here for two weeks and it was the best experience ever! Rino was so so welcoming and we have made a friend for life. The work was so reasonable and it felt like a little family. Rino went above and beyond to make us feel at home and took us on loads of adventures. I highly recommend this to anyone! :))

Nice experience, nice hostel, hours respected. The bar is beautiful. They give you 1 free coffee a day.
I was there for two weeks and only had 1 day off. Communication could be better. Important the food provided is only rice and pasta and things left by other volunteers or guests. Although during my stay we were also given eggs, vegetables and beans.
It is not a cultural experience. The treatment of volunteers can be better.
I appreciate my time there.

I loved my time at Bed Station. Rino is an amazing guy — super generous, always invested in your well-being, and always doing his best to ensure your time in Shkoder is enjoyable. The work is very easy (especially in the low season when the town gets very few tourists), but it gives you ample opportunity to explore Shkoder and relax. The bar staff are also very nice and always willing to give you tips or advice for your stay in Albania. I will absolutely be coming back as a guest someday :).
