Agriturismo Pereti

Our farm, called AGRITURISMO PERETI is ideal for people looking for a change and wanting to immerse in nature. Tuscany is known for its countryside, and we are fortunate to live in such an unspoiled environment. We built alternative structures on our property, and some maybe be open to our volunteers to stay there.

We are an easy going family with two children, one dog, one cat, and 30 or so chickens. Our setting is very very rural and far from the city buzz. If you are a city boy/girl, you will not find the comfort of the city life. The closest village is 5 K away. The closest big city 30 K away. The closest village is 5 K away.

We are a bit different. We like yoga, meditation, walks in nature, biking (mostly Gaia and the kids). We enjoy socializing, but we also cherish (and respect) quiet time and privacy. Both for ourselves and for others.

Our volunteers are not professionals, so we understand that there will be learning curve to understand all the tasks. Our volunteers are treated with kindness and respect. We understand that this is not a paid position. We love meeting young people who are full of enthusiasm, eagerness to learn new things and making new, perhaps life lasting connections.

My stay at Agriturismo Pereti was so wonderful and peaceful! Gaia and his family are kind and welcoming, and he would take us to local spots in the surrounding area some afternoons. The work is not difficult and the hours are respected. It is a bit far from the surrounding towns but they are easily accessible if you like to walk, which we did a couple of times:) It is a great opportunity to slow down, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and meet some wonderful people.

I had an amazing time volunteering at Agriturismo Pereti! Gaia is absolutely great, generous, and incredibly thoughtful. His family is lovely too, and made me feel so welcome. Gaia took us on local trips to the lake and to the best gelato spot. He respected the working hours and gave us a nice variety of tasks, which kept things interesting and enjoyable. The only small downside is the location, public transport isn’t the easiest, and buses can be a bit tricky. But if you’re into nature, peaceful walks, and stunning Tuscan views, you’ll love it here. Highly recommend!

This place is incredible, surrounded by nature. Every day feels different if you know how to make the most of it and live life to the fullest. I felt like it was my real home. ... My experience was very pleasant. I met and made many friends.

Gaia's family is very kind and friendly. I loved their pets, which are very cute. I would definitely return to this place. Thank you!

All things considered, the experience was positive. Gaia and her family are good people who truly care about their work. However, the tasks I carried out were mainly related to cleaning and very little to nature. The working hours were intense, and at those temperatures also very tiring, given that there were only two volunteers in the whole structure. The location, though, is truly charming and relaxing. A good way to disconnect from everyday life, but in my opinion, with a few adjustments to be made.

I had an absolutely beautiful experience at Pereti! Gaia and Marketa have a beautiful and peaceful home and family that they welcome volunteers into! I had the opportunity to meet some lovely girls from all around the world who made the experience fun and social! The tasks everyday were well explained and time commitment was always respected. Pereti will always hold a special place in my memories and I hope to return at some point as it was effortless to relax and find presence and happiness everyday!
