I spent almost a month at La Comarca, and it was an amazing, cool, and enriching experience. 100% recommended for everyone! Alex is a fantastic host, and the property, dorms, and common areas are really beautiful. The work was more than fair and was a lot of fun with the other volunteers. There's plenty of time to explore the area and just enjoy life. Puuura Vida, Alex!!!

Wow. Truly one of my favorite experiences I've had while solo traveling. This was my first world packers experience and couldn't have asked for a better first one. Alex made me feel welcome right from the start and loved how he allowed everyone to get creative and start whatever kind of project they have in mind. It felt like a safe place to express myself creatively while having fun. The work ended up becoming pretty enjoyable and didn't feel trapped or like I wanted to leave. I would have totally stayed a few more days if I didn't already have travel plans. 10/10 recommend.

My stay at La Comarca was truly unique! I had an amazing time, learned a lot, met great people, and would come back anytime! The work was diverse yet relaxed. La Comarca is a paradise, and the nearby river is a perfect addition, offering a beautiful spot for swimming. Alex is a great guy, always in a good mood, and, in my opinion, an excellent host. I can highly recommend La Comarca in every way – I will miss my time there a lot!

Alex has been a great host for my 2 weeks of stay at Lacomarca! He's flexible with the hours of work and and he Will never put pression on you about what you do or have done : « everything is fixable » as he likes to say He also provide everything that you Will need to cook and the organisation on the daily tasks between volunteers is also really nice I recommande anyone that pass to Costa Rica to stop for 2 weeks at his place !

I had so much fun at La Comarca, I would come back in a heartbeat!!! Alex makes everyone feel so welcome, and is accommodating to tasks, days off, when you want to come/ go, etc. Tasks are so fair, and there's something for everyone to do depending on your skills/ preferences. La Comarca attracts great people….truly couldn't have asked for a better experience, you won't want to leave!!

My stay at La Comarca was amazing. Thanks to the diversity of tasks and activities I feel that this experience was very developing and I learnt a lot of new useful skills and knowledge. Moreover, the working hours were flexible which ensured good wellbeing. Alex, the host, is super the lodge and welcoming, and the other volunteers were great, I had so much fun with everyone during my stay. Loved the energy, the teamwork, laughed a lot!! spent plenty of time in nature. I would certainly come back to La Comarca and recommend it to others. Big up!!

I had such an amazing time at La Comarca!!! Everyone was so the lodge and helpful, Alex was very nice, he would answer all your questions and do his best to make your stay very pleasant! There were various tasks, one could choose from and it never got boring!! The property was very nice, next to a river and overall I had such a great time there!

Tant de bonheur, de bonne humeur, de rires et de délires : c'était incroyable ! L'endroit est superbe, les tâches sont diversifiées et sans pression. Alex est disponible et à l'écoute à tout moment. Très contente d'avoir pu l'aider dans les tâches du quotidien et l'amélioration du lieu. Chaque jour était génial en sa compagnie et avec le reste de la team de volontaires 😍

I really enjoyed my stay at La Comarca!! The host Alex was super the lodge and flexible and put in so much effort! I met wonderful people, the place was clean and cozy, always enough food and enough space for yourself in your own small room. There is even a car for the volunteers It was surrounded by nature, birds and a river where you can swim in and there was a lot to see and do around Quepos! The work was totally okay, preparing breakfast for the guests, cleaning the domes after and taking turns in who cooks for everyone! It was really fun and great, I absolutely reccommend it!
