Balinese home base

The group will stay in a private compound, sharing a comfortable same-gender dorm room with one other traveler. Each room has its own private bathroom with a hot shower. Your stay includes access to all on-site amenities, including a kitchen for personal use, a dedicated workspace, and a pool perfect for cooling off after a day of activities. The accommodation is conveniently located, with all project activities less than a 30-minute trip away.

Arrival orientation

Your journey begins with a seamless pickup from Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). A local driver will be waiting for you with a sign bearing your name, and you'll have their contact information beforehand for easy connection. You will be taken directly to the basecamp, with the option to stop for any necessities along the way. To ensure you feel prepared, the team provides a pre-departure orientation before you leave home and a full on-site orientation upon your arrival.

Your host is a non-profit organization born from a founder's transformative backpacking journey and deep love for the Balinese community. After living in the village for nearly a year, they established this project to provide local students with vital tools and opportunities. The organization is built on a foundation of "friends helping friends," and the team lives and works within the community, fostering deep, personal connections. They are dedicated to creating meaningful cultural exchanges and driving positive, locally-led change through education.
