The experience was wonderful, the team was incredibly welcoming and the organization we built was amazing, the bonds we built working in a team and living together were very meaningful. Lawrence's vision for the place is inspiring and truly makes you feel like you are doing good and making a difference in the organization. The locals are curious and open, and the place was built on respect and appreciation. The possibility to travel around and do activities during our free time was ideal and allowed us to explore many things. I would recommend staying at least a month, it is absolutely worth it!

It was my first time volunteering, and it was one of the most enriching and unforgettable experiences I've had! The project had real purpose, and contributing to something as meaningful as restoring a building for the organization made it even more special. Our host, Lawrence, motivated us every day and created a fun, welcoming environment where we truly felt at home. The atmosphere was light and inspiring, and I truly enjoyed every moment. I met incredible people, shared beautiful memories and left with lifelong friends. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for connection, purpose and joy!

This was my first volunteering experience and i dont think i couldve asked for more! The casino is a project that inspires, its very ambitious and Lawrence makes you feel involved. It was my first time volunteering and I couldn't be more satisfied. The place and the people grew close to my heart so quickly. The place itself has a really beautiful meaning and atmosphere. I only spent a few days there, but I would definitely stay longer if I could. The working hours fly by really quickly and then you have time to explore the surroundings. If you like biking and running or just going on walks, then this place is for you. Also I can't forget to mention that Lawrence was really kind and always made sure we had what we needed.

Mi experiencia fue realmente muy buena. Lawrence es un excelente anfitrión y siempre estuvo atento a nuestras necesidad y bienestar. Llevo una dieta vegetariana y jamás fue un problema el poder mantenerla. En cuanto al grupo la verdad fue muy bueno también, me llevo amigos de esta experiencia. En cuanto al trabajo mejore mis habilidades con las herramientas, y puse en practica conocimientos, y aprendí a realizar nuevas tareas desde cero. Recomiendo 100% este voluntariado

I spent two weeks at the Casino helping with repairs, painting, and general upkeep. Lawrence was a kind and caring host with a great sense of humor. His project has real heart and impact. In our free time, we biked through the forest, played games, and shared deep conversations by the fire. I learned a lot despite having no prior experience and would love to return for a longer stay. Highly recommend If you are looking for something new and special!

My girlfriend and I had an excellent experience as volunteers at Casino Van Gompel. The atmosphere is great and fun, and the bond among volunteers is very friendly! Lawrence is an excellent host—always attentive to the needs of the group and the place. The tasks are varied, which allows you to learn or improve different skills. It's also a great place to practice new languages. Without a doubt, it was an enriching experience.

My stay at the Casino was short but intense (in a very fun way). Lawrence is incredibly welcoming, understanding, supportive and full of energy, and it's contagious. The project is ambitious and inspiring. There's plenty of things to do, various skills to be learned. Everyday is different. The volunteers need to be fairly autonomous which creates a little the organization. Everyone is always ready to help.
