From the moment you arrive, Felicia welcomes you into her home with such kindness. She's deeply passionate about the project, and it shines through in every detail. Felicia prepares the most delicious, traditional home-cooked meals, all made to be healthy and catered to any dietary needs. The house itself is spacious, giving you plenty of room, and she even takes care of all the laundry! The tasks are forward, leaving the entire afternoon free to explore. The dogs are the best to be around—adorable, friendly, and eager for affection. I can't recommend this experience enough. Gracias :)

This has been our favorite volunteer program by far! Felicia, the host, is absolutely incredible—she has a heart of gold. Her passion and love for the dogs are unmatched. She goes above and beyond with her hospitality, cooking us the most delicious meals every day. There's always plenty of food (and trust me, I eat a lot!). The rooms big and comfy, we have all the amenities we need—our own kitchen, Laundry, bathroom, lounge, and hot water. The work is both fun and easy, and best of all, we get to spend each day with the cutest dogs! I highly recommend, we even extended ours by another week!

The best volunteering there is! Felicia is an amazing person who took care of me and she always made sure I'm ok and well. The volunteering it self is amazing! You get to be with dogs, play with them and take them on trips. The hours are convenient and you have lots of free time. The meals are amazing and you get to try local tasty food. 10/10 would recommend to spend some time here because it was an amazing experience

I had an amazing time volunteering at the shelter and staying at Felicia's. I really enjoyed getting to know all the dogs. They are all so lovely and just need so much love and care. Felicia is an amazing woman who cares deeply about the well-being of animals. It was truly an immersive experience into Peruvian culture. The food Felicia prepared each day was amazing and I got to practice speaking Spanish. Felicia was a great help with advice or taxis whenever I wanted to visit places. By the end I felt very comfortable and learned so much in such a short amount time. Highly recommend!!

Felicia es muy generosa en todos los aspectos. Realmente ama a sus voluntarios y a los el refugio. Se merece toda la ayuda del mundo y espero que más personas tengan el placer de quedarse y trabajar para ella. Mis tareas incluían llevar a los el refugio desde su casa hasta el refugio en unos 15 minutos. Una vez que llegamos al refugio, nos pusimos los overoles para estar completamente ocupados con los el refugio. Luego, solo hicimos tareas básicas como recoger y llenar el agua. Luego, disfrutamos de la compañía de los el refugio y salimos a caminar. Definitivamente volvería.

Por lo primero, Felicia me recibió en una casa muy linda y cómoda con todo lo necesario. Las comidas siempre excelentes. Muy amigable y me sentí tan cómoda con ella. El trabajo con los perritos no es trabajo, es dar amor i Cariño. Recomendaría este lugar 1000 veces y extrañare mucho a Felicia que me recibió como su propia hija. Gracias ♥️

We loved spending our honeymoon at at CST. Felicia provides a unique immersive experience in rural Cusco. She provides clear instructions as to what is needed every day and shares generously about her journey in caring for each animal and tending to their individual and collective needs. She has several ongoing projects that will significantly improve the lives of the animals and the people caring for them. Her work is incredibly inspiring to learn from and be a part of. She is also a great cook and conversationalist! So you're in for an authentic Peruvian immersion full of TLC <33

La experiencia en el albergue ha sido increíble, a pesar de solo haber estado una semana, fue mas que suficiente para aprender y concientizar sobre nuestra labor como sociedad con los animales y conocer a Felicia, quien es la anfitriona también fue demasiado util para seguir aprendiendo ya que ella siempre te brindara datos de la ciudad, recomendaciones para tu tiempo libre y compartirá contigo historias sobre cada perrito en el albergue, es una persona muy noble y servicial! Recomiendo totalmente participar de este voluntariado :), los perritos agradecerán mucho tu compañía! 🐾😄

I applied for this position because I wanted to get to know Perú while helping animals, and the experience has been so much more than what I expected! The provided apartment is spacious, the meals are absolutely delicious, my hosts have been showing me around Cusco and teaching me about Peruvian culture, and my job is playing with dogs! My spanish isn't very good, but my hosts have also been amazing about communicating with me and improving my spanish. Volunteering here was an amazing choice for me, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves dogs and wants to learn about Perú.

Jesse. Tenerte en casa fue una experiencia muy buena. Tú apoyo con los perros en el albergue fue muy gratificante. Los perros disfrutaron mucho tu compañía y seguro te extrañarán. Ellos tienen tango amor para dar y las visitas de la población es casi nada.
