I really enjoyed my volunteering experience with the organization! I was doing mostly office work (designing booklets, helping with social media) but also got the opportunity to teach English for an hour a day in the school. I felt like I had a big creative freedom and the team is really open to listen to and adapt new ideas and ways of working, which means you can create a big impact and it feels rewarding. It was a very pleasant working environment overall. I 100% recommend this to anyone who is looking for a truly rewarding experience and wanting to get to know the local culture!

I was assigned to the Koh Dach center, and the experience was truly rewarding. What I enjoyed most was the opportunity to work alongside local teachers and trainees while living under the same conditions as they did. I learned a great deal about Cambodian culture, built meaningful local connections, and gained insight into people's backgrounds and aspirations. I taught pronunciation to teachers, supported classes for children under ten, and led the teenagers' conversation sessions. The staff were receptive to feedback and open to new ideas. I am very grateful for my four weeks there!

I was actually based in Koh Dach, teaching English, and was helping out the photography department on the side. What a learning experience this was! Although it was hard at times, with long hours and poor living conditions, it was really rewarding at the end of the day especially when you can see the impact on the children and their learning. My photography and editing skills also improved a lot by the end of my stay. Overall, this opportunity taught me a lot about Cambodian culture and everyday life.

Our stay at the organization on Koh Dach Island was definitely a culture shock. As stated the living conditions are not the best but you should be going into this expecting that. The people are lovely and the students make everything worth it. You will be spending a great deal of your time teaching, and as you are on an island so you can only explore the city on the weekends. However, if you are ready to get stuck in and commit yourself to a good cause, then this is a good place for you.

This was a great experience, the team I worked with were great and the host was welcoming and accommodating. It was office work, no frills but the hours were fair and allowed me plenty of free time to explore and also the opportunities during my work hours for small breaks. I ended up doing work a little different to what I'd signed up for (at no fault of the host's and I was happy to do so) - so you might end up doing something a little different. The accommodation was simple but nice, and three meals a day that were always reliable and yummy. It was an excellent experience overall!
