I had such a great time volunteering in the café of the project Buddhist Temple in Leicester! Volunteering there was not only an opportunity to try my hand at café work but also a chance to be part of a warm and welcoming community. I am grateful for the experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful way to volunteer while learning new skills. Also the people I worked alongside were incredibly welcoming and supportive! The room was good and the volunteers kitchen was amazing!

I had amazing time here, Loraine, Anthea and Chodor are beautiful people who always take care of the volunteer and do all they can to make the place as a home for the ones to come to help. The job is demanding but even in the busiest days I had such good time, they are sooo patient and it makes everything fun and easier. The acomodation is comfortable and the food provided is one of the best points, there is always a lot food available! I would definetly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet place in the middle of the city, I really hope I can come back soon!

It was a great experience in which we met people from the city as well as other volunteers. The cafeteria staff is lovely and it is wonderful to share moments with them. We had the opportunity to meet Anthea and Chodor, in addition to the affection with which Lorraine always treated us.

I leave this experience happy because I acquired new skills, such as improving my English and perfecting my latte art at the café. I am very grateful to Anthea, Chodor, and Lorraine for ensuring we had the best possible experience, and to my fellow volunteers Juliette, Esther, and Rizana. It's always great to volunteer at a the project center; I will definitely return. Such a good experience to remember!Whether It's your first time to volunteer or not, I'd say this's the place where you feel safe and in peace as the management keen to make sure that we feel good ,work is physically demanding yet with the team work It feels easier,I've enjoyed my time here at the same time I could see development in myself regarding both physical and spiritual perspectives, Thanks to everyone who've contributed to this Cafe and center including Anthea, Chado and my fellow volunteers,Special Thanks to Lorraine who made sure to make me feel like home 🫶🏻Hopefully,see you again🫶🏻

Our experience was great! I met amazing people, with a special mention to Anthea, who has a wonderful heart and makes the days more fun and light. Lorraine was also very attentive and helped us as much as possible, even giving us a private room. I practiced a lot of English and there was plenty of food available. The time I spent here was incredible! Lorraine, Anthea, Chodor and Bea are kind and super friendly people. World peace cafe is a nice place to be, it's right in the center of Leicester. Lorraine, the manager the project, it's always caring about volunteers' comfort. Everything is at described on the profile. Working hours are fair (you'll meet Anthea one of the sweetest and fun people I've met), the bedroom comfortable, there's always plenty of food for you to prepare. I had a great time here ☺️

É uma experiência excelente. A cidade é linda, o local é aconchegante, os anfitriões são excelentes pessoas e o horário de trabalho é seguido a risca. Recomendo fortemente para quem quer conhecer o budismo e imergir na cultura local. temos acesso as aulas de meditação e aos livros, o que foi uma experiência mais do que enriquecedora pra mim.
