Amazing experience, amazing host and beautiful place with a really good and spacious room, I had an extremely comfortable and peaceful stay here, was able to help out in very well explained tasks and then enjoy the view, meet local people and learn about the culture and the language, got a transport card for all of Ticino and also appreciated that I had a cooking area for myself which is almost impossible to find in other volunteering places and really helpful, and I could go on but in general a great place I'd recommend to anyone

Ah! An absolutely beautiful place and experience! Mike and Eleonora were so kind and hospitable during my stay in Auressio. This was my first time as a World packer, which made for some nerves going into it… but by the end of my time there, it felt like a home away from home. The Valley is truly a treasure that holds such rich culture, breathtaking views, and a sense of peace that I feel is unmatched. The work was fun and I enjoyed the variety of tasks (painting, gardening, etc). I'll very much miss this place and would recommend it to anyone. Thank ya'll so much, Ciao! <3

As the first experince as a worldpacker it was amazing. I really enjoyed the nature and calmness of the place. Also there are many interesting places you can visit in nearby cities. The work wasn't that hard and I liked all of the work that I did. Mike and Eleonora were welcoming and really nice people, thank you for hosting me 😊

I had a wonderful time in Auressio. It's a good deal with only 10 hours of work / week + you get your own private room (be prepared to help with various tasks even outside of your work hours though). I did mostly painting, which was enjoyable. A little bit more organization would make the work smoother, but all in all the work was good. You will live in a very small village surrounded by amazing nature and many hikingtrails. The room is comfortable. The free public transport ticket is great, you have the chance to explore all of ticino for free. Thank you Eleonora and Mike for hosting me!

Incredible time staying in Auressio. The access to hiking trails, climbing, and pristine rivers was of particular appreciation. Mike and Eleonora were incredible hosts and made sure we had access to all the needed amenities, cultural hubs nearby, and the best hiking and swimming in Ticino! I was given a transportation and able to travel a lot of Geneva! Thanks Elle & Mike!

Pasamos un tiempo de voluntarios aqui, con Mike y Eleonora, y la verdad que son dos personas que desprenden mucha felicidad, están siempre dispuestos ayudarte, explicarte y hacerte sentir como si fuese tu casa. Las horas y el trabajo, la verdad que se nos hizo muy llevadero, la predisposición de las personas y las vistas que tienes cuando trabajamos en la huerta, realmente increíble. La gente aquí en suiza son muy amables en todos lados, recomendamos mucho esta experiencia y agradecemos mucho a nuestros anfitriones por hacernos sentir parte del proyecto. Gracias Mike y Eleonora.

I had an amazing time volunteering here. Mike and Eleonora are really nice hosts and the tasks (gardening and painting mostly) were enjoyable and easy. Also, I had enough time left to explore around 4 incredible valleys. There and many cool places where you can swim and hike so if you like nature this is the right place for you. The hostel is located in a fairy tale village, Auressio, but the public bus does not go between Locarno to Auressio too often, so when you arrive the first day make sure not to miss it! I would definetely would have stayed longer if I could :)

I had an absolutely incredible time. I loved being able to live in Auressio, it is a beautiful peaceful village located in a valley filled with hiking trails and swimming spots. Mike and Elenora were very kind and friendly hosts. The tasks were enjoyable, I enjoyed being able to be outside.

I highly recommend volunteering at the home. The host (Mike) is incredibly friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure that you feel comfortable. All necessary tools, such as those for cutting trees, are provided to ensure a smooth volunteering experience. If you're passionate about immersing yourself in nature, this place is a must-visit. The setting itself is breathtaking, offering a unique opportunity to connect with the natural world in a meaningful way.

This space is absolutely stunning and peaceful. Mike and Eleanora are warm, respectful and wonderful to be around. I personally found the work enjoyable and therapeutic. The place is very efficiently connected by public transport and there is so much of the local culture and landscape to explore. Thank you so much for having me.
