La familia que te recibe es muy abierta, cuabdo te comunicas con ellos con respeto ellos abren sus puertas a su cultura y sus creencias. Culturalmente mi visita fue muy buena, me hicieron sentir como en casa, traté de retribuirles con lo que pude, adaptarce es necesario, excelente mi experiencia con ellos. Gracias por todo!!

Pheak and his family were lovely! We enjoyed staying with them so much and had a great time. 100% would recommend. His wife Sokha makes the most amazing food too!

More than just “work,” it was about community, connection, and sharing stories with people from all over the world — all while surrounded by beautiful views and chill vibes. Grateful for the laughs, the family gatherings, and the unexpected moments that made this place feel like home. Thanks to the owner Mr. Pheak and Sangkan his wife for looking after me.

Sono stato benissimo una settimana al the hostel Bowngalow, le mansioni possono variare durante il giorno da receptionist a barman o house keeper. Collazione, pranzo e cena buoni. Il dormitorio ha l'aria condizionata. Pheak e la Moglie provvedono a tutte le esigenze dei Volontari e dei clienti, dal tuk tuk alle sigarette.

Amazing experience at the hostel! My days at the hostel were wonderful and so much fun. Even though there were many tasks to do, the atmosphere was always relaxed, with plenty of time to unwind and enjoy. From day one, we were welcomed with kindness and made to feel at home. Koffe is an incredibly patient and kind person, always willing to help. Pheak, though not very talkative, is really fun and a great person. Our stay was excellent, and we take with us great memories and valuable experiences. Thank you for everything!

It's a nice place with nice environment. The tasks were reception work, cleaning rooms and housekeeping, cooking and making the laundry.

I had a great experience at the hostel. There were plenty of different tasks, which kept things varied and interesting. Pheak and his family were really kind and made us feel welcome. I hope we were able to help out in return. Overall, it was a nice experience and I'm glad I got to be part of it.

La experiencia empezó fatal, por suerte fue mejorando. Cuando llegamos nos dijeron que como no había más voluntarios teníamos que hacer dos turnos si queríamos estar juntas (viajamos en pareja), dos turnos son 10h al día. Antes de aceptar la estadía aquí, hablamos con él para resolver dudas y él nos dijo que si íbamos a poder hacer las 5h juntas. Pasado el primer día de trabajo, hablamos con ellos y les decimos que si no llegamos a un acuerdo, nosotras nos marchamos ya que 10h al día es una barbaridad, al final nos quedamos menos dias e hicimos las 5 horas. El resto de apectos bien :)

Es un lugar increíble, estuve haciendo el voluntariado por dos semanas y fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora porque tuve la oportunidad de compartir con otros viajeros y con la gente local, Sokha hace que te sientas en casa y ademas hace que tu experiencia sea mas enriquecedora ya que tienes la oportunidad de probar la comida local. Sin duda volveria a este encantador lugar.

I spent two weeks volunteering there. The owners are really nice and friendly even if it's complicated to communicate sometimes. Careful with the gardening and painting stuff which are not the main task, it's more cleaning tasks. For the couples coming together, if you are just two persons you will have to choose either working separately 5 hours of shift or together all day long. I really loved the vibe of the place and a part of me felt at home. The hostel is also a bar where locals come to grab a drink. I recommend this experience! Hope that will help
