My first experience and it was incredible! It exceeded every expectation I had. Igor is a kind, sweet man, who will do everything he can to make you comfortable. There were groceries every day, and I particularly enjoyed the nights we cooked together and shared food from our different cultures. Our love of coffee in the morning brought us together, too! Igor took us on incredible trips to see waterfalls and canyons, and planned more activities for us even after we left. The kids were so lovely to teach. I made friends for life and I'll never forget a moment of it ♡ thank you so much, Igor!!

I spent three weeks in Jaciara. the school is an incredibly welcoming person who enjoys having people from all around the world. He created a good atmosphere where we will often cook together and go on weekend getaways. The workload is very light, which is great if you're looking for quiet volunteering. i personally would have liked having a few more classes. Jaciara is it nice and peaceful city but there isn't much to do. Although the school took us to the local waterfalls, and we went away on the weekends, me and the other volunteers found ourselves with not much to do during the week.

Thank you for your honesty, but I believe that the volunteer experience at the school and your personal experience with the locals and the town were two separate things -- I'm still learning how it works in here. And everything regarding the school present situation was communicated prior to your arrival, in terms of the few hours of work a week. But, I love you. Igor es un gran anfitrión y profesor. Siempre fue muy atento conmigo y con todos los voluntarios que estuvieron aquí. Me gustó muchísimo dar clases en su escuela, tuve la oportunidad de hacer amigos tanto locales como extranjeros y conocí lugares hermosos tanto en Jaciara como en sus alrededores. Además, pude practicar roller skate e incluso un deporte nuevo para mí (futvôlei). Llevaré esta experiencia en mi corazón por siempre.

Javier is a truly great host who looks after volunteers. My time in Jaciara has been incredible, there is plenty of nature and activities that are a lot of fun. Also the students at the school are really funny and great to get to know!

Absolutely awesome! Jaciara is a safe & calm town surrounded by nature… I saw monkeys, macaws & coatis every day. Igor is a great teacher, an amazing cook and an even better person! He pulled out all the stops to make sure I was comfortable and knew all the best places to eat and sights to visit, including organising lots of activities like rafting, hiking and ju-jitsu classes. The school is a calm, fun learning environment and the students were motivated and polite. All the resources were ready and easy to use. I loved every minute and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you Igor and Jaciara!

Estoy muy agradecido de haber hecho mi primer voluntariado aquí! La escuela es pequeña, al igual que la ciudad, lo cual me permitió interactuar al máximo con la comunidad y aprender algo de Portugués. Enseñar en la escuela fue una experiencia muy satisfactoria para mí, ya que me enseñó a trabajar con estudiantes de distintas edades y niveles en un ambiente cálido y libre. Igor es un host muy atento, siempre dispuesto a ayudarte y a dialogar, lo cual hizo que el voluntariado fuera mucho más llevadero. Recomendaría esta experiencia para quienes quieren ganar experiencia enseñando idiomas!

My experience at the school was nothing short of spectacular. Igor was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and always helpful. The students were all friendly and eager to learn, and teaching was a blast. The course material was often provided beforehand, and Igor made sure to make the teaching process as seamless as possible. He also planned and provided many opportunities to explore the local community here, as well as the nature in Brazil. Every day here was an adventure, and it fostered a true sense of belonging and family in my home away from home. Thank you so much, Igor!

Mi experiencia en la escuela fue bellisima, excelente, mi primer voluntariado por medio de esta app, Igor (dueño del la escuela) es super amable, atento, resprtuoso, muy generoso. El espacio para vivir es bellisimo tenes todo lo que necesitas e Igor se encarga de brindarte lo que precises para estar super bien. En cuanto al alimento el es super amable y se ocupa que tengas todo lo necesario para TU forma de alimentacion. El trabajo es tranquilo, sencillo, nunca trabajas mas de 15 hrs a la semana, Igor te permite fluir a tu forma y los niños fantasticos. Estoy eterna y completam agradecida

Our experience was fun, but definitely a learning curve. Having to work around a language barrier was challenging, yet fulfilling. Experiencing the differences between cultural norms was shocking at first, but we adapted quickly with Igor's assistance. Jaciara doesn't have much to do, but Igor was helpful with adventuring out. Talking with the students was fun, yet challenging for both parties. This trip definitely taught us to enjoy the little things that we are ever more grateful for back home. Overall was a great experience, and Igor was very accommodating and respectful. Thank you!!<3

Staying at the school Institute was an amazing experience! Igor is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and he made sure I had everything I needed for my stay and helped me to experience the attractions that Mato Grosso had to offer! Working with the children was very rewarding, and I learnt some Portuguese on the way. I wish I'd stayed for longer than a week, I would definitely recommend this opportunity!
