You will be able to help our residents with with basic cooking tasks such as chopping ingredients for vegan/vegetarian meals, maintaining the kitchen and servery areas clean and tidy, and setting up the dining hall for other volunteers to enjoy their meals.

One of the best experiences of my entire life!! I was pretty closed off to Buddhism when I first started learning about it, however the amazing exposure I had to it, through talking to the monks, other buddhists that live at the Center, through the books that are available at the Center, and of course the meditations that you can go to every lunch time and multiple others throughout the day, I have become so connected and so drawn to this spirituality that I think and hope will continue for a lifetime. Everyone was so welcoming, loving, and you feel like you truly belong here. 10/10 recommend!

It was such a wonderful experience to be in an the Center environment where you can explore your inner world and work on improving your inner peace. I felt truly inspired by the Center practices and uplifted by the quietness and beauty of the nature surrounding the facilities. I also loved being part of this diverse, global community, where you can connect with people from so many cultures around the world. In this kind of atmosphere, the chances of meeting open-minded people are much higher, which makes it easy to connect with others. It truly felt like a home away from home.

My experience at the Center was very positive. I did different tasks such as kitchen work, gardening, house hall duties, and café shifts. The schedule is about 6 hours a day, usually split shifts (except the café, which is continuous). What I liked the most was the kindness and peaceful atmosphere. Everyone is respectful, helpful, and patient. the Center environment adds a special energy of calm, organization, and community. Even if you're not the Center, you learn a lot about compassion and working with calmness. It was a very enriching experience. I recommend the experience 100%.

I can't speak highly enough about my time at the Center. It was such a joy to spend time in and give back to this beautiful, kind, warm community. Work hours and tasks are fair, meals are delicious, and the people are inclusive, respectful and interested in all. I extended my stay here because I enjoyed my time so much and was sad when it eventually came time to leave. I feel very lucky to have landed in this wonderful community.
