The home was amazing! such a lovely and welcoming woman. Her stories kept me intrigued and just when i thought i knew all there was to know she would enlighten me with something else. The work was enjoyable and she accommodates a tea break in the middle of the work day. The house is very old, yet this was no surprise as she emphasised this on our call prior to our stay, but still a joy to live in. I didn't take as much advantage as i could have of the local activities! yet we went to the local restaurant and had some great food, went on walks, and ventured to the beach. Couldn't rec enough!

This was our first worldpackers experience, and it was perfect. the home is such a lovely, funny and interesting person. She is incredibly welcoming and wants you to feel at home in her house. She's very passionate about her project and makes you feel dedicated to the work too. The house is old but you get used to it quickly & isn't an issue. She is a great cook and has some brilliant stories to share. The surrounding area/ town is beautiful with great walks, roads to cycle, a restaurant to visit and more. We highly recommend this experience and we hope to come back and do it all again soon.

We came to her place looking forward to a renovation project of an old farm. the home told us in advance that her house is minimalistic and in renovation. Yet, we honestly didn't expect the state of the house, since there are absolutely no pictures of neither the kitchen or bathroom online. We are not picky, yet were surprised at the current state. If you can't stand a pee toilet (for women since man go to pee outside) that stinks incredibly, a dirty kitchen sink and bathroom, spiders and holes everywhere, I wouldn't recommend you to go. the home lives impressively sustainable.

The home me ha acogido en su casa preparando una bonita habitación y ha cocinado ricos platos. Ha sido una muy buena primera experiencia en Worldpackers, espero poder haberle ayudado un poco en su obra faraónica. Muy recomendable!

Alicia me ayudo durante una semana. Es una persona muy amable, respetuosa, con quien puedes tener conversaciones variadas e interesantes. Es muy atenta al como hacer corectamente las cosas.

Mi estancia con la casa fue muy buena. Es una mujer que habla 4 idiomas fluido, por lo que me explicaba las cosas en mi idioma y de vez en cuando me enseñaba cosas en francés que es lo que yo quería. Es una casa de más de 600 años a reformar, por lo que hay muchas cosas que hacer, pero la cama es muy cómoda y tiene agua caliente para la ducha (muy importante para mi). La zona es PRECIOSA, y su gente muy amable. Respecto al trabajo, se trabajan 5h al día de lunes a viernes pero con flexibilidad. Si un día trabajas más porque ella lo necesita y tú estás de acuerd

Es una persona respetuosa, llena de energia, muy dinamica, con ganas de participar, de colaborar, de aprender y de compartir.

The home is a great host with a property located in a lovely part of the country. Within biking distance of some lovely beaches aswell. The work itself is very interesting and fulfilling to work on such an old building. Thanks the home.

Gilbert is a great volunteer to have around: hard worker, willing to help, social and respectfull.
He made the most of his stay by joining friends to the beach or rinding around with the bike.

La casa es una persona encantadora. Una trabajadora incansable. Es muy organizada, siempre está intentando planificar para maximizar los tiempos. Me sorprendió de buena manera. Creo que su mejor versión es cuando intentamos descubrir al ser humano. Es una persona que busca tu participación en el proyecto, aportando desde tu punto de vista y es capaz de escuchar. Pero también se muestra muy compañera en las tareas y muy colaborativa. Fuera de las horas de trabajo hemos tenido grandes y lindas charlas. Cocina “riquísimo'!!! Lo he disfrutado cada día. Fernando se quedo unos 10 días, lleno de vida y dispuesto a aprender y a participar en cualquier tarea. Todo eso: cantando ; lo único: era siempre la misma melodia... no encontre el enchufe para quitarselo !! :)
Disfruto de sus tardes para descubrir a fondo el pueblo y los alrededores.
Es una persona respetuosa, dispuesto a participar.

I decided to accept the home's offer of a week at her Farm house in the Basque region. She explained to me that the work would be hard but satisfying. On arriving there, the first thing I noticed was how beautiful and green the countryside was ,with an undulating terrain, not dissimilar to my own region. the home has taken on the responsibility of restoring the family farmhouse and I am sure that in the future it will be transformed into a lovely home. Even though it was only for a week, I was very happy to be part of that journey. If you like the rural life ,go for it +++

Mike spent a little more than a week with me, he was very dedicated and interested in the tasks, offering suggestions whenever he thought they could help. He is a nice and respectful person to have around. We shared many interesting conversations. A great person for the Worldpackers community.

Marixtu is so genuinely passionate about her project and her culture that I found myself becoming invested in her home as well! The location is beautiful with lots of sites accessible by bike and Marixtu was just as committed to making sure I got to experience the area and the culture as she was to working on her home! I highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in cultures and restoration projects as well as for people who like to get outside and experience the outdoors!

Madelin is a very dynamic, respectful and social person. She is both interested and interesting. Interested as she showed interest in the project and in discovering the local culture and the surroundings.
