My experience at the shelter was very beautiful. Diego welcomes you as a part of his family and shows you different cultural things, such as food or rituals, from this area. The work isn't too hard, and Diego is also very understanding and easygoing. Also, he gives you the opportunity to explore the area, with lots of cool activities. If you want to reconnect with nature and yourself, help a meaningful project, and get to know the jungle, I can only recommend this place.

La experiencia en el refugio fue muy bonita, es un lugar para conectar con la naturaleza y aprender de ella. Aparte de hacer las tareas, que no son difíciles, hay tiempo para conocer otros lugares, las costumbres de la zona y también para poder relajarse en ese ambiente tan maravilloso. Gracias!

La experiencia en the shelter fue extraordinaria. El santuario está rodeado de naturaleza y cuidado con mucho cariño por Diego. El proyecto está muy bien pensado, las actividades son variadas y pude desarrollar mi conciencia ambiental sobre cómo cuidar la naturaleza. Diego es un anfitrión muy atento y además lleno de energía y alegría. Un amigo, lo llevo en el corazón. Le deseo aún más éxito en su proyecto hermano, fue hermoso compartir con usted y contribuir a esta idea de amor y conexíon con la naturaleza! Este ha sido mi primer voluntariado y la experiencia ha sido maravillosa!! Me ha encantado la casa, toda la naturaleza que le rodea, la convivencia con Diego y los demás visitantes. Han sido unos días de verdadera inmersión en la Selva y de conocer mil cosas de la mano de Diego. Repetiría mil veces y ojalá volver a este trocito de naturaleza tan, tan especial. Me llevo un pedacito del refugio conmigo :)

I think it is important to know, that it is na typical volunteering, because you still have to pay. I still recomend the project highly. Diego is a carrying host and made sure that the groupe became a family. I loved the rituals and the meditations. Diego guided them really well. We were cooking the hole time together. Diego made sure that the food was always vegetarian (because of me). Diego is a loving and open character. I highly recomend to experience the authentic live in the amazon here.

Mi primer voluntariado en la naturaleza y me ha encantado repetiría mil veces. Los anfitriones son una maravilla!! guían y ayudan en todo y siempre están ahí para lo que necesites. Recomiendo mucho la experiencia, es muy enriquecedora . Os mando mucho amor!!

The experience with Diego was amazing, he is an excelente host, he likes to make you feel like home and that makes the experience even more wonderful. I love the community project Diego has with the nature and the jungle, he thinks out of the box and he works for a deeper reason, for his habitat and his culture. During the volunteer you feel his love for nature and that make me feel more connected with the nature. Diego es a respectful, friendly and spontaneous guy. I really recommend the shelter Chackra if you want to live an real experience in the Ecuadorian amazonas.

Este fue mi primer voluntariado y la verdad que fue increíble. Una gran experiencia en la que quería conocer en profundidad en amazonas de ecuador, y así fue. Pude conocer cómo de increíble es la naturaleza, la diversidad que encuentras a cada paso y probar frutas y comidas que ya en sí son toda una experiencia. Diego y yo nos hicimos panas, lo considero mi primo y amigo, y ya sabe que puede visitarme en España cuando quiera. Me encantó toda la experiencia y pude sentirme amazónico por el tiempo que estuve aquí. Muy recomendado si quieres sentir una verdadera experiencia.
