Fancy the hostel lifestyle and a chance to live in stunning, historic Edinburgh? We're looking for energetic backpackers to help keep our cosy little hostel on the iconic Royal Mile clean and tidy. With only 38 beds, we are a safe and comfy wee community. You'll be changing beds and cleaning bathrooms. In exchange, we're offering accommodation in our staff dorm and a free breakfast. Get stuck into our daily events or chill out in your new home!

Programmdetails

We are a friendly and relaxed wee hostel located right on the historic Royal Mile in the very centre of Scotland's stunning and lively capital city. We're one of the smallest but also coziest and friendliest hostels in town. And we're smack bang in the middle of all the sights (5 minutes from the Castle!) and our favourite bars are only 5 minutes walk away (some even less). We are a relaxed, chilled out place where you can meet other travellers and also be involved in our daily events programme!

We wouldn't call ourselves a party hostel by any stretch, though there are always opportunities to get involved. Explore the city by day and by night! We have events every day. You have the chance to get involved as much as you like, or take the time to relax and enjoy our historic, vibrant home city.

Aktivitäten & Schichten

The cleaning shifts last 2 hours from 11-1pm every day and we follow a rota so you are always aware when you are expected to work. You'll find yourself doing one or two of the following each day - either helping us change beds, grabbing some fresh linen, cleaning bathrooms or mopping/vacuuming. We also offer a range of other reception, cleaning and event shifts.

You work as part of a team and the work is simple and not very taxing, leaving you with plenty of energy left to explore Edinburgh! We make sure you're looked after while you're working, and balance the load between everyone in our team.

Regeln

From each of our volunteers we expect a willingness to learn and respect for the accomodation and fellow volunteers. We expect you to show up for your shifts on time and follow the minimal rules we set in the hostel :)
