Programmdetails

First, you will go through the training phase, which means you will be just like one of our regular housekeeping volunteers, in order to you to understand how the hostel works. As a trainee, your main activity will be exchanging beds, but you'll also be responsible for cleaning the bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas. This means mopping, vacuuming, and wiping surfaces to keep our place sparkling clean.

As a trained receptionist you'll work three shifts per week, with each shift being around 8 hours long. You'll assist with guest check-in and check-out, answering phones and emails, provide information about the hostel and city attractions, and help maintain a clean and welcoming environment. Plus, you'll also have the opportunity to organize parties and events to make our hostel even more amazing!

Aktivitäten & Schichten

Work will be in 3 shifts, around 8 hours per day, 3 days per week in the reception + 1/2 day in housekeeping + 2 days off - totaling 30h/week.
Shifts will be different, from mornings, afternoons and evenings and covering different areas of work, depending on the schedule for that week.
We have a staff room and another room is mixed between 10 people
We also have breakfast included for Staff.

Regeln

We're looking for outgoing individuals who can handle money, solve complex situations under pressure, and even lead the housekeeping team to make our environment nicer and more friendly.

We're not looking for someone who just wants a free place to stay. We want someone who's eager to make a positive impact and help us create an unforgettable experience for our guests.

Of course, we know you'll also want to explore Edinburgh, which is why we'll provide you with accommodation and breakfast. You'll also have two days off per week to explore this stunning city and meet fellow travellers from all over the world.
