El lugar es un paraíso terrenal, era como estar soñando con los ojos abiertos. Iris es una persona maravillosa, muy cálida, amable y graciosa, como le gusta decir a ella “un sol”. El trabajo no es para cualquiera, requiere de esfuerzo físico y la mayoría es al aire libre, pero es entretenido, se aprenden cosas nuevas, son pocas horas por día y los turnos son flexibles. Ame mi estadía en Isca, no veo la hora de volver!

I truly believe that Iris is the perfect host for any volunteer . The town of Isca along with her property are great for being immersed in nature and getting to experience the Calabrian lifestyle . Everyone is very friendly in town and Iris will not hesitate to help you practice your Italian or teach you something new everyday . She is extremely knowledgeable about the work she does and you can find any and every sort of vegetable, fruit or herb growing somewhere on her farm. The tasks are explained very well and are quite fun to do . Her family and her dogs are so much fun too!

Iris is an absolute angel and the experience at Isca was truly perfect. She's kind, incredibly hard - working and a visionary regarding all things nature. For our first world packers experience we couldn't have asked for anything better. We truly felt at home and cannot wait to visit again as soon as possible. The work can be quite challenging but it's so rewarding and you gain experience that you wouldn't gain anywhere else. It's a truly beautiful place and we will miss both Kronos and Dell so much. Thank you Iris❤️

I had the most amazing experience at Iris's place! The work was the right amount of challenging to what I'm used to at home and I learned a lot about what I'm capable of. Iris is a fantastic host; her family and friends are such sweet people. I also had a very good time with the two other volunteers who were there at the same time as me and we made dinner together every evening. If you are looking for an experience where you get to enjoy nature, challenge yourself and meet a lot of incredible people this is the place to go:)

It's really an amazing place to experience life and nature. Sunrises are a magical and the people of course are always nice. You go grocery shopping +\- once a week because there are no shops nearby. You are truly far from everything. I would go there again for sure! Thank you Iris 🫶

I highly recommend this place to anyone interested, you can work in a beautiful environment close to nature, which fills you with energy and peace. Iris is very kind and helpful, it's nice to work with her. The time spent here helped me a lot to develop myself to slow down a bit to enjoy the little things.

Staying with Iris was one of the most brilliant things I have ever done, the accommodation is rustic but lovely, the area is stunning with views over the town and over to the sea just from your front door. The work is interesting and fun and the hours are very well respected, staring at 8 and ending at exactly 1, with a break in between. She never asks you to do anything you are uncomfortable with and is truly an incredible host. Iris is one of the nicest people I have ever had the good fortune to meet and is always up for helping you if you need something. Thank you so much for having me.

My two weeks with Iris flew by! I would have absolutely loved to stay longer, this was an unbelievable experience. Isca is a picturesque little town and the view from the farm is incredible! I loved my stay in one of the cottages, although it is winter, the cold is not a problem; the fireplace warms things up wonderfully. I enjoyed every single task, most was outdoors, which was lovely! I am in awe of Iris. She is an energetic, powerful and kind superhero!! She has a wonderful family and two precious dogs- I wished I packed Kronos in my backpack! It was incredible, I hope to be back soon! <3

Iris was a fantastic host and made my time here very enjoyable! She's the best and goes out of her way to make sure you're comfortable. The work was very physical sometimes, I was not expecting to be hauling big rocks around as much as I was. But the hours were respected and you have a lot of free time to relax and enjoy the beauty of Isca. I would 100% recommended to anyone looking live a simple daily life in nature.
