This experience was amazing :) I was responsible for Social Media, which mainly consisted on keeping the hostel's Facebook and Instagram pages updated and shooting some videos. My hours were completely flexible, which allowed me to explore the city and produce content about it. From what I saw from my colleagues' experiences, work at the reception and housekeeping wasn't too hard either, and their schedule was published in the beginning of each month. I didn't have time to get to know the hostel owners very well, but they were always super nice and attentive, and the facilities were great.

A experiência foi ótima! Todo o staff do hotel foi muito acolhedor, o trabalho era bem tranquilo, o quarto confortável e a localização da pousada, à beira-mar, é uma delícia. Fui pra vaga voltada pra redes sociais e site e além de trabalhar com isso também cobri alguns intervalos de almoço e jantar dos funcionários da recepção e folgas do vigia noturno. Passei só duas semanas, mas já deu pra entender um pouco sobre hotelaria e curtir essa cidade deliciosa. Recomendo muito :)

I have a BA in Journalism from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (Recife - Brazil) and a MA in Communications from Universidad de Valladolid (Valladolid - Spain). I also studied English, Spanish, French and German, did one semester of my BA in Seville (Spain) and took short courses on social media management, human rights, photography, creative writing, digital marketing and journalism.
I've worked for print and online newspapers and with PR/press relations. Most of my work experience so far has been as "content coordinator" at one of my city's biggest digital agencies. There, I used to produce content for social media, blogs and websites, manage social media accounts, write copy, develop digital marketing campaigns and coordinate a team of copywriters. I also have a travel blog (www.janelasabertas.com), where I share thoughts and tips about traveling, and work as a freelance writer.
I lived (for study or work) in Buenos Aires, Seville, Lyon, Valladolid and Budapest, and travelled as a tourist to more than 80 cities in 25 countries so far. In December 2016, I quit my job to work on my blog and travel the world. :)
