Wisdom Forest
Come join us for an unforgettable experience volunteering in the heart of the Amazon at Wisdom Forest! You’ll get the chance to learn about vegetarian cooking, how to make your own kombucha, and dive into the hands-on experience of planting and harvesting Amazonian plants. You’ll also work alongside our amazing Kichwa team, who will teach you about the local medicinal plants and share their traditional wisdom.
When you’re not working, take some time to explore the stunning surroundings of Tena. You can go kayaking or rafting on the rivers, hike through the jungle to spot wildlife, and make sure to visit some of the breathtaking waterfalls. If you’re into local culture, check out the markets for some delicious traditional food and unique handmade crafts.
You can also enjoy yoga classes and therapies like sound therapy at a discounted price during your stay, allowing you to unwind and rejuvenate after a day of volunteering.
At Wisdom Forest, we’ve created a warm, family-like atmosphere where everyone feels welcomed and supported. As an Ayurvedic wellness counselor and yoga teacher, I offer guidance, while our dedicated Kichwa team takes care of the day-to-day operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
As a volunteer, you’ll be working alongside our team, learning from their experience and contributing to the work we do together. You can expect to be treated with kindness, respect, and genuine care. We are a small, close-knit group, always fostering a fun, collaborative environment where laughter, learning, and personal growth are part of the everyday experience. Whether you’re helping in the garden, learning new skills, or connecting with nature, you’ll feel like a valued part of our community.
