We had a really great stay at Windrose hostel! The hostel is in an amazing spot in Taksim that really allows you to explore lots of the city. Everything we agreed upon was met and the work was laid back and straight forward. All of the work is night-shifts, which some may have a problem with but we loved it gave us lot's of the day to explore and was also peaceful. Because we came during Autumn/winter there weren't as many people there but we still met plenty of interesting travellers and had some great conversations. We'd recommend volunteering at Windrose hostel.

The staff were really kind and welcoming, and they even helped me make sure that I could adjust my schedule to attend an event I really wanted to go to. The hostel itself is very clean and has nice rooms. I would be aware though that as a volunteer, your bed is in a shared, mixed dorm in a small room that is also used for storage of some furniture and supplies. It's pretty cramped and people are sleeping at different hours throughout the day and night so there is usually not much lighting. Reception was easy and wasn't too busy.

I had a nice time at Windrose Hostel! It’s very central in Beyoglu on the European side. A 5 minute walk to Taksim Square and well connected to get to other areas.
You work 5 hours a day at reception, 6 days a week and the shifts are most of the times very relaxing. I am recommending this host to everyone who wants to be in a central area and is looking for a chill work :)

Windrose is a Very relaxed and chill hostel, you meet locals and connect with travelers quite often. Especially with the addition of the new terrace re-opening, it has become even more social. the location is great, you really feel that you are in the heart of istanbul. the manager Samet is very easy to get a long with, And always willing to work with my scheduling needs. this place is perfect for someone wanting a more calm and easygoing volunteering experience. I would Definitely recommend
