Turtle Conservation
Our project was opened by the governors of Bali, Mr Dewa Beratha (20 January 2006) On Serangan island of Bali is developed as part of the Comprehensive strategy to eradicate illegal turtle trading on the island .Established on a land of 2.4 ha, we're trying to support the community of Serangan to find the alternative beside illegal turtle business
turtle conservation is nonprofit need to support to continue the project all support come from amount of donation and volunteer activities
here we are well come to all volunteer at our activities we try support the with basic information to know more about the project combine with balinese culture

It was wonderful learning how to protect turtles and meeting local colleagues as well as other volunteers. Lucky to meet the last group of baby turtles this year.

a really cool experience with plenty of free time to still explore bali. i learned a lot and met great people, plus the driver Dody is a super nice guy! however it was disorganized with communication at times (for example, i was given the wrong phone number for the driver so airport pickup was quite hectic). also, if you are just looking to come to bali you can do so for MUCH cheaper than the weekly rate they charge. but if you are hoping to learn about turtles/ecotourism or just want to have something to do during the days then this is not a bad experience whatsoever. i enjoyed my time!

This experience was great to meet locals and other volunteers, and working with turtles was also amazing ! (learning about turtles, putting the eggs in the sand, doing visits, cleaning the tanks, seeing baby turtles…)
The work is usually until from 9am to 1pm but the hours are flexible, and the afternoons as well as the weekends are free.
The only downside is that when there was not many visitors, we just chatted and waited around, and I expected more organised work.
I still loved the experience and would definitely do it again !

The things that are written are those that will actually be done, nothing more, nothing less. The best thing for me was meeting other people from other parts of the world, learning more about the local culture and obviously dealing with sea turtles, and helping in their conservation.
