My family joined couchsuffing for 7 years , so we meet many people from different cultures , and we share many thing other . More than 70 travellers stayed with them , they helped some children to improve English

Our stay in Quy Nhon was a good experience overall. We spent evenings at the café speaking English with the local children, who were very bright and energetic, and met welcoming families who helped us explore the city. The accommodation was very basic, with a thin mattress, no desk, and weak internet, and we didn’t spend much time with the host family. A curfew at 10 pm (later 11 pm) was never mentioned beforehand and felt early, as the town is still lively then. Still, it was a fun and valuable cultural exchange and a chance to connect with local people.

My experience with this host family was mixed. The family was very busy, so we had little contact and I didn’t feel very welcome. Many promised daily activities did not happen, and the most were canceled, which made our stay less engaging. The room had only a thin mattress, worn walls, and some cleanliness issues like small hairs and ants. Working with the children at the café was enjoyable and a bright part of the stay. Fast internet and a proper workspace were promised but not fully available. A 10 PM curfew was introduced without prior notice. Overall, I would not choose this host again.

I loved my stay here so much! From the moment I arrived, everyone was so kind and welcoming. Rooney, Suri and their parents have a nice house where I had a private room and bathroom. As they are quite busy, I spent a lot of time with the families from their english class community, all of which are lovely.
I went on many activities with them during the day and every evening I met up with a group of children to have a conversation. I've never met such polite, smart, amazing children! I'm going to miss everyone!

Our time at Quy Nhon City has been one of the best experiences of my life. You stay with Suri, Rooney and their parents at their home. They all make you feel very welcomed and are really friendly! You have a private room to stay in, it is clean and comfortable! Every week night you spend about an hour and a half with a group of young people, to talk and play games. You meet their parents as well, they’re so so lovely and welcoming. During the day we spent most of our time with other families, going hiking, swimming and rollerblading. Thank you so much for having us!! 🩵

This is a must do volunteering experience!!! It's not like a normal English teaching experience which makes it so amazing. You meet with 2 groups of kids every week night at the Cafe from 7-8:30pm and the kids are so funny and caring. Their families invite you to activities around Quy Nuon City like Hiking, Swimming and Arts & Crafts which I highly recommend saying yes to everything! Mr Hoa and his family are so lovely and make sure your stay at their house is comfortable and flexible with you. You get a lot of free time to explore the city and relax too. Couldn't recommend this enough!!! 🤍
