Telma and I had the best stay at Muni’s homestay! We were warmly welcomed and felt at ease. The only thing that could have been better afterwards was the explanation about the english lessons. We had not really an idea of what was expected of us, so we just gave it our own interpretation. The children were so sweet and dedicated to the lessons. They also took really good care of us in the homestay! We were allowed to choose every meal each day and received home cooked meals😍 it truly felt like we gained a bonus mother. Muni also took us to a local school and a waterfall. Would deff recommend!

I really lover my stay with Mr Ahyak and his community. Everyone is so kind and welcoming and it really feels like you are a part of the community. The hours of working are really chill and flexible, and the teaching was really fun for me to do, because all the kids were so eager to learn.
You have free time in the morning/ early afternoon so plenty of time for activities.
We also often eat together at someones place which were my favorite moments, and then afterwards singing together through the night.
This has a really a go-with-the-flow vibe, so you will have to get used to that hahah.

My experience in Rinjani Terrace cottage could not have been any better. Everyone is super nice and willing to help and share their culture. I learnt so much not only from the kids I was teaching to, but from every member of the community and every volunteer I was lucky to meet during my stay. It was very easy to feel comfortable and welcomed, thanks Mr. Ahyak for this opportunity! I would definitely be back :)

One of the best experiences of my life! Mr Ahyak and his family make you feel at home and go above and beyond to make you comfortable. I miss it already and would come back in a heartbeat. There is always activities on offer so you’ll never be bored with your free time, from learning about local culture to seeing some of the most breathtaking views. 3 weeks was a perfect length to stay and build connections with your students, Teaching English to the kids was such a rewarding experience and you really immerse yourself in the culture. Thankyou Mr Ahyak I’ll be back!🫶🏽

All of the reviews about this place are 100% true. This was an amazing experience and I truly learned so much about Lombok culture and Indonesia as a whole. I am so grateful I decided to come because it was definitely one of the most memorable weeks of my life. It was such a unique experience that you can’t get anywhere else. I was able to do many cool activities on top of teaching English to my students which was just as fun! Ex: pottery, cooking classes, spear fishing. Definitely recommend coming here to volunteer!
