This experience will stay in my heart forever. The people were wonderful, funny and kind. Whenever I made a mistake, they talked with me openly and later we laughed about it (some of my mistakes were truly embarrassing!). The work was not too difficult for a volunteer and I had fun working with the other volunteers.

The hostel is close to the train station, so I was able to go on day trips, when work took place in the evening.

I had no prior experience, if you choose this as your first volunteering opportunity there is no need to worry at all. I would absolutely recommend it!!

It was best time of my life. Samuel and david and everbodey are legends. You should defintly go there. In your morning shift take breakfast before shift. also take something for sleepeing to not hear others.maye you will get snoring guy in your room.

Ostello Bello was my first volunteer experience, and I really enjoyed it! Both staff and other volunteers were very friendly and lovely, helping with anything I needed. The schedule was provided during the weekend so we could make plans for the upcoming week, and if necessary, ask to change. Schedules were also always respected.
The hostel is close to a train station, making it very easy to explore the city and places nearby. I super recommend this experience!

Ostello Bello Genova was my first volunteer experience and it was a great one! The staff were so amazing and friendly and made me feel at home. It was very easy to make friends with the other volunteers. Working the events were very fun, but since I was here during a slower time of year, I was asked to help out in housekeeping and kitchen as well. Amenities are great and lots of free time! The bar is open to public so it’s easy to meet locals. I would recommend befriending staff and locals for a more fun experience, otherwise Genova can seem kind of slow/boring if you don’t know the area:)

I had a great time volunteering at Ostello Bello and would 100% recommend it. Everyone made me feel super welcome and the staff is so nice. It’s a beautiful and spacious hostel in the perfect location to visit all the towns and beaches from. You’re usually always on shift with other volunteers so that makes it really fun! The schedules are super flexible and the hours are always respected. Just be aware that closing and cleaning the “restaurant”-kitchen is now part of the volunteers’ responsibilities. It’s still a super fair deal though and a really fun place to volunteer!:)
